Living up that way in the late 70’s I was fortunate to watch Ipswich regularly (along with the odd trip to Wycombe and assorted Isthmian league grounds in Essex) when Bobby Robson brought in Arnold Muhren and Frans Thijssen (yep had to check the spelling!).
They really did seem like footballers from a different planet. Brilliant footballers both.
Neither make the FFT list which was a little disappointing to me until I saw Edgar Davids at number 20 and thought ‘they’ve had a lot of really good footballers…’
A link for anyone who knows ‘nowt of what I talk about and has too much time on their hands:
The Suriname international squad is made up of players scattered across the globe in domestic leagues.
No other country including Holland is better represented in that squad than England with Surinamese players playing in the Championship and League One.

No Lonwijk?!
Saving him for our even more niche 'Best Dutch players who played in the lower reaches of the English football pyramid of all time' list

Incredible output for such a small country
Just what is Suriname's secret?
