As poor as the opposition were, we deserve a lot of credit for picking up wins despite long away trips, little rest between games or opportunity to prepare in training. Lots to look forward to next season
Worst we can do is 16th, which would be our 11th best finish ever. If we could get to 10th (or 11th with more than 64 points) it would be our best finish outside of MON and GA.
Reading his body language & how he approached the interview, it does seem as tho there has been a breakdown in comtract talks between the club and Max and someone senior has made the decision that je won't play anymore.
Really sad and disappointing way to end things here at the club.....
Not really Bayo had supreme ball control and was both the out ball and a very good provider, he also scored 200 goals in a long career. Uche can scrap a bit but rarely seems in control of anything, quick look at the goal stats and Cambridge is the only club he's ever signed for and scored more than 6 goals for.
We appear to be getting a bit of "Wycombeness" back about us. Grinding out wins, without playing phenomenally. Early on blooms was bemoaning good performances without any wins...
We seem to have tipped the scale and now getting wins when we could have easily lost to a scrappy goal or Sat on a boring 0-0
Next season we need to find the right balance of wycombe doggedness to work hard and grind out results when needed, and capitalise when we can on Bloomfields new style of play where we can actually play it on the floor and hit teams hard on the break.
If we sign the right players, and maintain the Wycombe ethos..... we will surely be challenging at the top next season.
Well done Matt Bloomfield 👏 you have had a tough season and taken alot of criticism.... but you have come out fighting and done us proud 👏 🥲

This is 398.
JJ free kick!
SHOOT
2 after tonight
Great job lads!
Err, 400!
Not sure how many more he needs to get there though :-)
Great job tonight. I really thought this would be the one where we ran out of steam.
A sub appearance in the next 2, then JJ to captain us v Charlton for game #400?
On track for a 10th place finish here.
Job done indeed although I wouldn’t stretch to “great”.

Top half of the table....whoooooo
Well done Lincoln!

I would take Ikpeazu over Vokes any day of the week. imho Vokes is frankly a waste of space at this level.

Closer to the playoffs than the relegation zone for the first time since 30 seconds after the season started!
Weren't you all for Wycombe signing him in Jan????
Isn't that the role Bayo played for us and was our top goalscorer for the time he was here?
If it shows that Bloomfield has a bit of ice in his heart then it's not a bad thing.
No

I missed the start - can anyone tell me if someone assisted Wheels? I update historical stats after each game.
BBC does not even give Kone an assist, so is no help.
Vokes had a shot saved by the keeper and wheeler scored directly from the rebound. I believe that’s an assist.
@Shev Vokes headed towards goal, Ripley saved it, but fended it to Wheeler who picked his spot. So probably nobody in statsville.
No assist for Wheeler's goal. Vokes header, well saved by the ķeeper, Wheel's tucked home the rebound
Vokes header pushed out by their keeper to Wheeler, no assist @Shev
Thanks all!
