People saying no to an uche return.... I'm not watching admittedly.... but the text coming through says he is involved with all the good stuff Vale have going forward? I'm not seeing anything about vokes?
Sads needs help, he's got the tricks but not enough pace to beat anyone and often nobody to cross to.
Uches career could boil down to half a dozen worldies, holding off defenders a bit and not much else. Could click and he goes on a scoring run, could just as likely drop in to non league.
Think Vokes has played pretty well, and improvement on his recent games. Holding it up strongly and making smart lay offs. Issue is our midfield aren't close enough to pick them up.
A few games that season, at home v Cheltenham and the MK play off home leg, when we properly played to his strengths and got the balls in from wide, he showed how good he can be.
Vokes is class.... always has been always will be.... classy finisher.... and second to none at cheeky play ins and lay offs..... however he is aging and his goal scoring ratio has taken a nose dive.
Maybe stop playing him as a 9 and deploy him as a 10 or a playmaking midfielder if we want to play to his strengths??
I wouldn’t single him out. There’s a lot worse out there tonight. We just seem really off it since the first 10. Players running into cul de sacs, poor passes, loosing possession repeatedly. Very odd 70 minutes hanging on

Ravs will not be our keeper this time next season, is my prediction.
His incredible save in the first half confirmed that.
Love Sadlier, but get him off. He makes a mistake every time the ball is near him. Just not his night.
To be kind, maybe some fatigue kicking in?
RELEASE THE KONE
Surely this pitch is made for him? I am sure he has scored hattricks on worse!

Thankfully it's not an either/or proposition!
Gmac getting ready. No we're cooking!
Uche had been a real handful, but his first touch is very rusty.
I don’t think Vokes has been on since about the 15 minutes mark. Missed who came on for him though.

Fair enough 😅 as I say.... not watching..... well..... only text coming through every 5 mins 🙄😅🤣🤣
Sadlier was poor tonight. Really poor. Would like to see Kone on with Vokes
No hang on, there’s someone standing around offside and shrugging so maybe he is still on.
Uche has looked like Lyle Taylor to me, falling over a lot and complaining all the time... no thanks
I do think Vokes is approaching Hayes territory. He’s been a fantastic servant, but it’s time sadly
Vokes needs to come off. Even by his own recent standards he’s been pedestrian tonight. He’s not been near the ball this half.
Unfortunately so. And not just a lack of pace. His touch was off, his close control lacking, and the decision making below par.
Perplexing given the impact he can have 🤷🏼♂️
Vokes has been nowhere near as bad as some of you are making out. Some of his lay offs have been fantastic
Vokes has been a top player, but for us and himself , he needs to call it quits at the end of the season.
.... or if he's hell bent on playing, do a mcgleish and drop down a couple of leagues and enjoy his twighlight
He hasn’t sparkled it’s true, but absent Vokes we often have precious little linking play up front.

It has been amazing to see Vokes in a Wycombe shirt, especially that first season, and I'll always be grateful for that.
Is that down to him, or does it more reflect play behind him?

I'd love to see Kodua's pace for Wheeler as the Port Vale defence tires.
Both. We’ve been poor generally as soon as we pass the halfway line, on the rare occasions we actually have.
I’m with others above. I’ve been a big fan of Vokes, even this season, but his time now seems to have passed.
