He wasnt "dumped out" on loan, he was suspended for 3 games, Franco played well enough not to be dropped & Max had to warm the bench. Max's agent apparently contacted the club regarding the possibility of Max going to Crewe on an emergency loan, the club recognised Max's desire to get game time so agreed.
But I guess some bizarre conspiracyesque theory is better...
In the Crewe interview Max alludes to contract issues / out of contract next season. Probably just agent cage rattling as part of salary negotiations (with us and / or other potentially interested parties)?
Very casual performance at times and it could cost us. Too intricate with some of the passing and whilst it looks good when it comes off, all too often we've given it away in dangerous areas. Vokes has dominated in the air, get some support up alongside him and we'll create chnaces.
Uche a real handful for our defence. Still looks a good player, but the fact he's only scored once for Vale would indicate he's not playing like this every week!
I think we are on an 11 season streak of at least one ex-player of some kind rejoining us, so the speculation always makes sense, but I would not want Uche either. You can guarantee someone will come back, though!
Not even sure it would signal a lack of ambition - he's just not the right fit for our approach now. Potentially a good wildcard option off the bench for his unpredictability, but his injury record alone is reason enough to swerve.

Exactly. When 2 players challenge for a position then one gets his chance - and takes it superbly - it would be madness to drop him.

Has Sadlier forgotten to put his contacts in?!
I wouldn't be upset if we replaced Vokes with Uche next season.
Or even within a game. Best player on the pitch for first 15 mins. All over the shop for the last 10 mins.
Yeah..... he obviously wasn't happy about being dropped was he.... shame.... I.love max, think.... Reading between the lines... thats him done with us
No, let's not re-sign Uche.
Would rather Daniel Udoh or Promise Omochere.
Since 10 mins in we have looked so sloppy.
He's certainly got his strengths, but you'd probably be downgrading the goals total even from Vokes' tally this year!
I think signing Uche, who is not the answer, would reveal a lack of ambition.
We need to be aiming higher than him and can do better.

On that performance I'm not so disappointed we didn't re-sign Ikpeazu.
Agree on Sadlier, he's been so sloppy at times. We need another goal (especially since I predicted a 2-0 win for us).

Or face the reality which is that he’s only had one start since January because he had a few bad injuries
I wrote out a long response but I really can't be bothered lol
Ah, that might explain it!
I'm not on the resign him bandwagon by the way! But he had been impressive so far.
Pretty much do or die for Vale this half with Burton winning.
Think it’s more of a hand cart than a band wagon - thankfully. 😅
Sloppy AF
Deary me.
Well that was coming since 10 minutes into the first half, just too casual all round.
It's do
Poor
The pitch is starting to look a little too sandy for my liking.
Yes we've been very sloppy at the back, that was coming tbh. Hopefully will kick start us again
Great goalkeeper
Early subs needed if we actually care to get anything from this.
