On that note, Albania's group has Spain, Italy and Croatia. Hard to get out of, but if Mehmeti gets selected, what a crop of nations to be playing against! Though I think @flymofrank said Albania have a lot of options around that position, so no guarantee (hopefully I have not misquoted you, Tom).
I agree, it's going to be playing Jordan Henderson and Kalvin Phillips as two defensive midfielders "just in case", while Foden and Palmer gather dust on the bench (and I am only half joking).
@NewburyWanderer and @mooneyman. Thanks for the comments. Only just caught up, having assumed that the Shrewsbury Man of the Match topic had run its course.

@micra Interestingly enough, the Watford player whose name is pronounced the same, does spell it with an acute accent.
Before I get my wrist slapped by @micra@micrá, I've just realised 'a' doesn't usually have an acute accent.
I don't think any 'a' has an acute accent in French - that's a Spanish thing
We're burning through the off season material at an alarming rate!
If we aren't careful there will be nothing to debate come the end of May.
We will have the Euros soon after that.
Only till Southgate goes 7 at the back against Albania.
True. 😂
@Shev Mehmeti will have a field day then

Yeah, I think he's got his work cut out to make it.
Speaking of England, the emergence of Cole Palmer is one more filthy talent going forward to add to the likes of Bellingham, Saka, Foden and Kane.
Not sure going forwards is where England’s problem may be this summer!

He might make the squad if Muçolli or the current preferred option Asani are injured but Asani is a far better player.
Asani has scored a quarter of Albanias goals since the start of 2023 and will start.
I don’t think Anis will feature in Germany, needs to become a regular starter at BC first and then be consistent and score regularly.

I thought it was all over……,
Have we ever seen a sub so dominate the MotM award before?
We have definitely had a couple of substitute winners, but I think this might be the most dominant.
