So do I... I think most people will. But I'm also man enought to admit that Blooms has turned it round so deserves another shot at the start of the season. He was very lucky to survive that awful run.
I’d like to think most of the applicable would admit it. I wanted Bloomfield out. I also don’t have a short enough memory to forget just how bad that 17 game spell was. Great goal & pleased to win this. Shrewsbury never look like scoring.
Kone did excellently to win the free kick that resulted in the Leahy goal and it was a smart finish for the second goal. He’s offered so much more than Vokes in recent games and should be top choice to start at the moment.
The law is that if a player recieves a card for the foul, the player is allowed treatment on the field of play without having to leave it. However the league's guidance changed this year to try and speed up the game so if a player needs treatment, they have to spend time off it to recieve it in a bid to try and speed up the game.
It was clear that the referee was asking for anvice from the other officials & trying to get the body language of the players to how serious the foul was. In these situations, ref's use this "thinking time" to get all the info before dishing out the punishment
I Admit to thinking Blooms had to go. I didn’t take any pleasure in that but I thought we’d reached a point of no return. I am delighted to be wrong and have us finish mid table with a Wembley day out. Overall a good first season. Onwards and upwards.
In good news, I’ve heard we’ve got an extension clause for Richard Kone. His contract expires in summer 2025, but we have a +1yr option available should we wish to extend.

Nicely worked goal too!

KONE!!!!
Lovely move and goal that.
Holy Goaly, Batman!
Great ball from Forino
Yes!
A top ten finish is still on the cards.
i.e. 10th
Nice symmetry to seal safety at the place Blooms lost his first game.

15 goals plus next season. He just knows how to score. Some players do. He’s single minded in that and it yields results.
Um
I almost didn’t mind missing the goal for a replay of Kone’s outrageous bit of skill
God no.
it was fun while it lasted, but I for one don’t want to see the return of hoofball and dark arts.
Hardly an instant classic, but a good win. Nice to see us firm in defence and taking chances going forward.

And success Bloomfield can only dream of.
Do refs get influenced by "body language of players" often?
Well, we know they do, but they probably shouldn't, as all it does is encourage players to storm in and try and hype up every borderline foul.
BBC AGAIN. The BBC app says 0-2. Just shown and read out as 0-1.
Same here. It’s was hard to see a turn around coming after Boxing Day, but we’re night and day better since then.

That’s great news.
Great news indeed, he seems to be gaining confidence with every game.
Per the club’s twitter it’s now 5 clean sheets in 6 league games for Fran and 10 in 17 overall. I‘m not sure that’s a ‘keeper you drop.
That's an extremely basic way of assessing goalkeeper performance. We need an upgrade 100%.
Cause and effect. The defence just seems more at ease. We are back to where we were with Stewart and Charles in the centre.
Of course. But the idea that it’s a scandal Max didn’t walk back into the team isn’t borne out by the facts.
