I'm probably getting the tube from Amersham. Free parking, train every 30 mins and a nice view / walk down Olympic Way on the way / coming out of the ground as you are going to Wembley Park Station
Despite the higher cost from the Wycombe station, it's a short walk, no need to park so personally it'd be daft driving somewhere like Amersham. Appreciate others in total different situations though. And going miles out the way to Wycombe's ground to arrive 12pm for the 12.30 coach is way too early.
I remember from the Sunderland game though, that the front entrance was stacked, and the approach from the other side near the Wilkinson (?) building miniscule.
Google Maps keeps suggesting I get local buses from home (I live just outside West London) but then annoyingly pops up with a service disruption, meaning the routes they are suggesting are not suitable.
I’ve decided I’m gonna go Hatton Cross to Acton Town, Acton Town to Rayners Lane and then Rayners Lane to Wembley Park.
There’s nothing quite like coming out of Wembley Park, up the stairs and seeing the stadium in the distance in front of you.
Over the last few weeks I’ve done the journey to Wembley a hundred times, always from Amersham and always in my head.
I envy you all, grappling with the logistics for real and no doubt loving every minute of it. Hope your journeys prove largely trouble free and that today will be an unforgettable occasion for all the right reasons.
COYG.
PS I am fortunate enough to have been at all the Wembley matches apart from 1957 (before my Wycombe supporting days) and the Sunderland playoff Final.
Train down from Luton was busy but all on time. No probs on tube, but then I am ridiculously early. Later flights didn’t give much margin for travel delays

Haven’t actually decided yet but I probably should work it out soon. Are there strikes tomorrow?
No, there was a strike on today and the drivers haven't been working any overtime on Thurs or Fri last week

Damn it @Malone, now everyone knows to just go round to the back entrance of the station. Much quicker.
Don't worry, this is one for us small select bunch of suave gents on the gasroom, wouldn't dare post on the FB groups.
As it happens, although I could walk to Wycombe station, I'm probably going to drive to Amersham and catch the Met line.
Where is the free parking @Otter87? Do you mean side roads or is there a free car park tomorrow?
Its free in the Multi Storey next to the station

Cheers for that @Otter87
Looks like a few people are joining your camel journey @flymofrank
Driving from Wetherby via Bradford to Amersham and then tube , hopefully a nice steady drive down
That route avoids the A1 at Ferrybridge, which is a smart move!
Lucky enough to have my car registered on the car park, so will park at Tesco Wembley and stroll down (after a Nando’s)
Wembley closer to me than Wycombe, easiest game to get to and from all season, Wish all those who are travelling safe and easy journeys
Taxi is genuinely a good option from Wycombe area if you have four of you.
Another easy option (well easier than this sounds!) is drive to Hillingdon, free parking, cheap quick tube journey to Wembley Park queue free.
Another option would be to go from Stanmore and get the Jubilee Line from there
Didcot to Paddington for me..
East Coast Main Line. First part of the journey should be okay until the train stops at Peterborough…
Oh god, enjoy!

Don't mention 1.74 Pike !

LNER for me avoiding Peterborough.
Currently thinking up inventive ways to blag a 'later than booked ticket' train home if it goes to pens.
I've just discovered that Barry Fry is my neighbour. Might try grabbing a lift in with him.
Or let his tyres down and not offer him a lift? Or is that taking rivalry too far!

Flights from Luton to London City Airport?!
Does anyone know how busy it is at HW station?
