Not strictly correct though. The trust would have had to match 25% of any cash calls made, but any of those things you mention funded by cup runs or player sales would not have needed any further investment by the trust.
A extra 1500 fans for home games would also substantially improve the economics of running the club sustainably.
But I agree, the trust just didn't have the income needed to own 25% of a football club with ambitions to be upper league 1 challenging for the Championship.
Must be this. Just seemed too easy an arrangement all round otherwise.
But would there not be similar for every bit of parking near offices and factories near the ground otherwise? Can't imagine they'd have any specific cover for randoms parking there for football
I think that it is an insurance issue as the property is being used for something it hasn't been insured for OR the school's public liability would increase due to it's extra use. Another thing to consider would be the caretaker's wage, he would have to keep the site open for longer which would mean he would be entitled to more wage and if the club aren't covering those costs then that's going to stretch the school's budget even further.
I'll risk numerous thumbs down from culture warriors by stating again that it amazes me the club does nothing around encouraging people to cycle to the ground. Put in one of those double-decker bike sheds, stick a steward in front of it for security and maybe offer a free cuppa / soft drink as an incentive / thirst quencher.
Please note that this statement is not me saying you MUST cycle to the ground. But everyone who does so frees up road space for those who can't.
Why not just dig into the hill where the cars park atm? Could get at least 2 levels in there before reaching the surface while also keeping a launch area for the fireworks
Confirmed that removing Pete & Missy from the Board was an early admin error. It was due to happen later when other individuals would be added, including our billionaire friend.
”Plan is [still] to make us sustainable in the Championship.”
Other the Rob & Missy question nothing else of value was really added, although someone did make a good point about introducing a kids club which Rob took note of.

Probably the same people who did the same to posts about the carpark at Millbrook ending abruptly. Instead of having the skill to debate why.

There is no cheese in America so he wouldn't understand the question.

Oh, so THAT's why people from Wisconsin / Packers fans are known as Cheeseheads.
I think he meant to say that there are no cats in America and the streets are paved with cheese.
You wonder how the club would have handled a season with fans in the championship.
It always feels slightly uncomfortably packed for crowds above 7,000 2or 3 games a season.
So every game being 9,000 would have been carnage without big extra measures being introduced.
That is a very good point actually.
Millbrook was a good idea while it lasted. But maybe about 200 people use it?
West Wycombe park and ride was another reasonable idea, but in reality probably the wrong side of town, and then phased out.
But you'd probably need 5-6 more ideas like this, and a heavily beefed up bus plan.
1 bus going to the ground 3 times and then basically being 1 bus at full time and 1 bus an hour later would not have done much!
You’d probably need to facilitate parking for circa 3000+ cars, a very difficult task in HW.
Maybe 2000 anyway.
A bus at half time would have been handy for some of the games this season!
How about a car lift with an underground carpark?

There's a very big underground hole in Naphill, I wonder if we'd be allowed to use that as a car park once a fortnight?
And there's a couple of planes outside that could do shuttle runs to the ground

How the fuck does one accidentally resign early from the board of a company/business/going interest?
Asked about the promise to conduct works on FA stand roof and the terrace.
In a roundabout way saying how much he’d invested in the playing side, told me there was no progress.
Now the Georgia tech bro is confirmed, we can replace the bus with a fleet of sedan chairs to take the fans to the game.
Joking aside, what changes will his billions make?
And manage to do it twice with separate linked companies
Well.... we are clearly premier league bound now no??
Watch out arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester clubs etc!!!!
Did wonder if someone would ask that!!
Have visions of people just nodding along in the room...OK that makes sense.
Fairly amateurish, isn't it?
Rob needs to concentrate on getting the road built before focussing on roundabouts!
So what was actually said about Lomtadze? Is he taking over, or just getting a seat at the board?
That land is only rented from the Dashwood estate, not the club's to build on. Plus it wouldn't get planning permission as it's AONB.
