Absolutely. We were second best from start to (almost) finish and it was Max who kept us in the game, but as Alex Ferguson once said ‘Football, eh? Bloody hell!’. It might be the worst we’ve played this season (and that’s a pretty high bar!) but at least we were resilient just as we were against MK in the playoffs.
One thing I keep thinking, no one can pretend the last twelve months have been easy, and no one, least of all Blooms can say it’s worked out the way we all hoped. But it’s impossible not to be thrilled for him to be able to celebrate his first anniversary as manager like that.
I cannot think there is a single fan of our club that wanted any but the success for Matt, not just for us but for a guy who has given everything for this club (including his health). When the worst times were at their worst (and lets face it we are not ripping up trees just yet) it was so horrible to see the interviews post match and to see his body language and the pain he was going through. So he deserves a glass to be raised today to celebrate his achievement and lets all hope that we have seen a learning curve over the past 12 months that is now going to steepen upwards and upwards. Long way to go, but cause for optimism I hope.
He's having a great year in terms of getting a lot of experience so quickly. He'll have experienced being booed off the pitch and a Wembley final in his first full season as a manger. Character building stuff.
Another thought, people can call it a tinpot competition and any other derogatory words they can think of, but I’m certain there are 46 EFL clubs and a host of PL U21 teams who would happily swap places with us this morning.

They are unbeaten at Wembley but have only visited three times in 92, 00 and 14.
Wouldn’t it be nice to put an end to that run.
Get that run to the final on the back of the T shirts…now!
I wonder if Chiltern Railways will put on extra trains for 7th April?
Anyway, I've booked my train ticket already, only £11.60 with a senior railcard.

Their service was absolutely dire for the play-offs post match. Amersham for me this time.
It was nowhere near as bad as that Fleetwood first half
Two Saturdays ago trains were supposed to be running but when a relative got to Marylebone they were on strike.
It was insult to injury. The team never got going, a meek defeat, then horrible long queues.
At least it was an easy refund job though.
You managed to get a refund for our ‘meek’ display?!!
Damn. I knew I should have tried…
Morecambe trumps Fleetwood imho.

Did it rain on their Parade?

We didn’t play that well but Max was superb and the defence all registered a clean sheet. We scored they didn’t so I don’t really care.
Also the pitch was terrible and resembled the old Derby County pitch from years gone by.
Looking forward to another great day at Wembley.
But isn't it all the sweeter that we 'cheated our way' to Wembley...to meet Peterborough??
And then if we win....🤣

Ergh, just had a glance at their twitter and forum, and they're already billing at as 'get revenge match'.
Let's just hope we don't let Posh fans try and take over Wembley like we did last time we got a day out at the Sunderland Show in 2022
If either team gets to 20,000 they'll be declared the winner.
For the train delays part of it!
not wrong, is he?
Which sort of makes it more enjoyable.
He's not wrong, but you can taste the bitterness.
I wonder how many supporters we’ll have at Wembley who’ve been to all 6 (not including Oxford) finals previously?
Just got back from Bradford. That was lucky wasn't it? But in the words of Barry Davies 'to be honest, who cares?'
What are the 6? 2x League Two play-off finals, 1x League One, FA Trophy, Amateur Cup and...?
Oh, the other FAT final!
Which one did you forget?
My ignorant young brain overlooked the first one. BWK I know, shameful.
