When Bloomy was whooping it to the crowd I couldn't help noticing a Wycombe fan in an old yellow shirt that seemed to be about 8 sizes too small, and barely covered 50% of his torso.
Not sure if this is a known fan who uses this as signature outfit or what.
I was just saying to a friend that important thing about this result is the spring in our step. With a heavy pitch on a Wednesday, I think a defeat would have put us psychologically in an even worse state for what already promises to be a tricky game at Stevenage, whereas the win will hopefully keep us peppy.
Does being the ‘away’ side mean we get that dreaded end again? (It was the same end for the Southend and Sunderland games?!).
Hats off to the team and management for our resilience tonight. Incredibly tough on Bradford but we’re due a bit of luck this season and took our chance.
Just back from Bradford. Super support! Difficult conditions, Bradford clearly advantaged by recent games on that surface. We didn’t look ourselves - nothing like the control of Saturday, but not surprising, it’s a lot to adapt to immediately, after playing on our carpet. However, we stuck to it, dug in, fought for each other, pinched it, and it’s just totally delightful...! Just a bit deflating coming back to read some of the defeatist claptrap on this thread (again).
“We’re at Wembley!!”
“Yeah, but we’ve only played against kids up to now ... we were shit tonight... We don’t even deserve it... Worst team ever to get to Wembley... blah blah blah”.
CLEAN SHEET? - Yep!
VICTORY IN 90 MINS? - Yep!
WEMBLEY? - Yep!
Thank you and goodnight - and enjoy the shirt, young Kirbys!!!!
“Posh have struggled against Wycombe in recent seasons and a depleted side lost 5-2 at Adams Park earlier this month. The teams drew 2-2 at the Weston Homes Stadium in October when the Chairboys were again the better team. “
Max Stryek’s performance was absolutely outstanding tonight but the essence of the game was the difference in finishing between League One & League Two. Bradford played very well but their finishing was very much League Two (goalkeeper notwithstanding). Great to be there tonight to witness the celebrations at the end!

Good to see them enjoying it after what has been a difficult season at times

He was doing WHAT to the crowd?!
I saw that too - I was going to unkindly ask who was the chap in the Wycombe bra, but thought better of it.
For what it’s worth, we’ve done our bit in the b-team boycott this year - we beat four U21 sides on our way to Wembley didn’t we?
Whooping it. As in whooping it up.
It did take me about eleventy goes at writing a polite version I'll be honest.

One thing is for sure: there is a fascinating back story, and it either involves a dare, a lost bet, or a funny mirror.
I read it as 'whopping' which rather changed the context...

The Goodyear blimp?!
Do you work as the BFP proof reader?
Last week they did more of that strange style of everything "would" happen.
Wycombe would go on to have 3 shots.
Leahy would have a shot saved. It would be the first time in....etc
Such a strange style of writing.
Yeah, that's very weird. That style only really works for something historical.

Yep signature outfit, he was pictured in the same attire when we were last at Wembley against Sunderland
Undeserved trip to Wembley to play Peterborough. Hilarious!
Oh god, just remembered this means another episode of Alan Swann
Hmmm...Derby game rescheduled before the final or after do you think?
After, we want to play them and be the team to stop them getting autos
It's a lose lose for Swanny - if they win, he looks petty for celebrating a "tinpot" win after they failed to beat us in the league.
If we win...well...
Jaysus, you can just imagine the gritted teeth here:

She's gone to bed with the top on.
Didn't ask for the top or have one of those shitty signs asking for one.
Wheeler come over and I said tell Matt to come over, he did and then the next minute she got McCleary's top. Sadie was made up.
Hope not, but I'm going to wycombe aftert the Everton game and will stay the Saturday and Sunday.
It's a memory that will last a lifetime. So special, enjoy.
Fair play to Max tonight, brilliant.
I moaned about his kicking at Bolton last week but he was top drawer tonight.
so special. She’ll never forget tonight. What a club.
