As a reminder, the robin is largely a pleasing blend of light greys and browns with an orange breast and face with flecks of white about its torso. The above, if it is a bird at all, is a dove who has belly-flopped into a can of red paint.
Still really want to go to this one but don't currently have any way of getting there! Is there anyone going who'd be willing to pick me up from the Pear Tree Park and Ride outside Oxford? It's on the way from Wycombe and I'm more than happy to pay a decent chunk of the petrol money
Let's hope that he doesn't get stuck in traffic, on the way to the ground, on the way onto the pitch or indeed on the way to the goal if and when he arrives.
having said I won’t watch this one, I am about to buy it and settle in in France with a cuppa and a hot cross bun. New signings have given me hope that this is the moment we will look back on and say Matt B came good. 3 point today and 3 or more in our next 4 and it will all look a a lot better. Chuck in a Wembley visit and maybe the season will, in the end, turn out to be reasonable.
I do wonder whether Kodua was an entirely necessary signing given he's now out of the squad but it will be fun to see what Kone and Lubala will do when brought on for Vokes and Taylor in the 74th minute.
He could possibly be at left back, Grimmer right back and Leahy left centre back. Who knows.
@HolmerBlue: I’ve seen very little to be fair apart from glimpses of considerable pace and quick feet. His performance against the boys maybe flattered to deceive. We’ll see.

I don't normally make any comments on Badges.... but that is awful

-.- --- -. .
As a lot of their fans will be from GCHQ I've put my thoughts on the game into code.
Oxford currently beating Reading, which helps our cause.

I see Matty Taylor has signed for Cheltenham yesterday
I always see it as a dove in the moment it is blasted from the sky. Really must give my therapist a call.
If you hone in on the two red bits, it looks like a big fish about to swallow a little fish.
- Matt Butcher starts in midfield
- Josh Scowen and Chris Forino (injured) and Ryan Tafazolli (illness) miss out
- Nigel Lonwijk and Beryly Lubala are named on the bench
Game has obviously come too earley for saxon...

Or we start Chem and I’m done with it all.
A bit disappointed Kone isn’t starting, but still a team that should easily see off Cheltenham.
Taylor again ffs
At least we're sticking with 442 / 4231.

I think you underestimate Cheltenham. I’d be happy with a draw.
KVY at left back, shocking anyone who didn’t see him against the boys.
@drcongo and I (plus a few others, no doubt) disappointed that Kone doesn’t start (unless Vokes pulls up with a hamstring twinge in the warm up).
Vokes starting suggests we’re hoping to scrape a 0-0
Kone should starting - I appreciate we are protecting him but we desperately need goals.
KVY is right back, Leahy is left back.
If I'm honest I'm not sure what you've seen in him so far, but hope to be proved wrong
Taf always seems to be ill. Hope he is not using my surgery in Beaconsfield. 😂
Or Grimmer at Right back, Leahy & Low centre back and KVY at left back?
He might be the one that misses out due to us only allowed to name 5 loan players in the matchday squad
Surprised at KVY over MCCarthy on the right side.
Wonder what Leahy thinks. Could easily have slotted KVJ in on the left to unlock him for midfield.
Will be interesting to see how we fit in Leahy, Scowen, Potts and Butcher going forward if as presumed Saxon becomes the left back starter.
Kodua not been named either, so that's 2 out of the 6 loanees missing
Kane Vincent Jung
Sadly I’d be reasonably happy with that as a result (although will be hiding behind the sofa for the last 15 minutes if it gets to that stage).
new Concept coming soon?
christ - even for me that’s esoteric.
He's missed so many games I clearly haven't got the finger muscle memory for his initials
Finished 1-1
Superb!
