As an aside I missed that set of postage stamps at the time. Having Googled to look it up, my world is suddenly a much richer place. Best (postage!!) stamps ever. Pure genius.
"Five unnamed League One sides were interested in signing the midfielder. But West Ham felt Wycombe — looking to implement a more progressive playing style under manager Bloomfield — would be best for Potts’ development."
Not certain our switch to long-ball played over the head of a one-man Potts-shaped midfield necessarily qualifies as progressive...
I was thinking more of the individual. Especially if they have hopes of elevating themselves beyond a paper which excels at copy and pasting news articles from local Facebook groups.
if this happens this says more for the management side (including Rob) than anything else , thye are killing our club , 4 Loanees leaving and we are left with a terrible one, hang their head in shame if this happens

Oh dear…
Time for that innovative 5-0-5 methinks…
Rumours on twitter?
Hard to think of a more definitive source….

It’s where most football rumours surface.
Time will tell whether it’s true but it would be a hell of a blow.
No one credible though? And it’s not like he’s missed any games, unlike the other loanees who returned
I’m not worried (yet.)
Did anyone see this interview with Freddie from a few months back? https://theathletic.com/4945286/2023/10/12/freddie-potts-interview-wycombe/
Hoped this was just a few Internet goons making this up.
Still hope it is.
Freddie Potts was the one I was the most confident we’d lose. If Watford are interested you can’t blame him or West Ham.
The last quarter of this season is going to be something isn’t it?
The line that stands out for me is:
"Five unnamed League One sides were interested in signing the midfielder. But West Ham felt Wycombe — looking to implement a more progressive playing style under manager Bloomfield — would be best for Potts’ development."
Not certain our switch to long-ball played over the head of a one-man Potts-shaped midfield necessarily qualifies as progressive...
Someone said their friend works somewhere (@ the BFP iirc) and they had heard it.
This would be the final nail in the coffin for me. League Two here we come.
Seems unlikely given the BFP must have approximately two employees at this point.
Sorry, is Freddie Potts now the difference between survival and relegation? He's been in most of the matchday teams on our losing streak hasn't he?
Why would he go there to sit on the bench.
If it turns out to be true, wouldn’t take long to find out who’s leaking information. Which wouldn’t do their reputation much good.
To be fair, I don't think the BFP's reputation can get much worse.
I was thinking more of the individual. Especially if they have hopes of elevating themselves beyond a paper which excels at copy and pasting news articles from local Facebook groups.
If they're not leaking sensitive information, it's not really a big deal tbh. Would be a bit different if it was getting leaked by the club.
Lost count of how many times I said he will be playing top half championship next season. Didn’t expect him to move this season
If I put fingers in my ears and close my eyes will our problems disappear? What a mess
Didn't someone say recently that we'd gone past the date by which clubs were allowed to recall season long loans?
Like any rumour posted on here, though, it might not be true @eric_plant.

Is this him in the background?

not that it means anything much if it is.
They did, and then Killian Phillips was recalled and sent to Aberdeen 2 days ago.
I dunno. You know how angsty some get at the mere thought of anyone uttering the length of a contract.
That could be an outstanding piece of shithousery by the club
”Getting ready for a Wednesday” was the tweet.
Watford are playing Wednesday on Wednesday.
