I think the most frustrating thing with the Bloomfield era is that he started out with high intentions, wanting us to play more ball-to-feet.
A path that many lower league teams have gone down, and found it's a dead end that they're not good enough to pull off.
But pretty much all of that has been abandoned now:
The playing it out from the back - mostly gone (thank god...)
The pinging it about between the midfield - gone
And it seems like we're mostly back to Gazball, play direct football and any actual clever ball-to-feet stuff is reserved strictly for the final third.
Which I'm OK with - other than the fact that we just don't do it as well as GA's sides.
Next Wednesday Ainsworth, dressed as Evil Knievel (a reference our owner would surely get), drives a Harley onto the pitch before attempting to leap a flat back five. He ends up crashing into the home dugout where he stays for another decade.
I've really wanted Blooms to work out. It was a hard job to take over. He perhaps tried to change too much, was hampered by injuries through a poor Autumn, and due to budget cuts had to take risks on young loans through the summer.
It's clear that while he may well be a good coach, he hasn't got the motivation and personality to manage a team yet.
The first half was woeful. I've lacked all enthusiasm to go to AP the last few months, and today the players seemed similar. To show so little fight or effort against bottom of the league highlights a lack of leadership or motivation from the top.
We're in a situation where we try very little, and what we do try doesn't work. Usual reliable heads like Grimmer and Wheeler were poor today.
I was prepared to have an uneventful season and give Blooms time, but I'm afraid more time will take us down.
Issue is, I fear the Couhigs don't have the money to fire him. At least a win today could've been a spring-board.
Properly outplayed by a superb looking Fleetwood side until their man decided a good way to end a nice little run was to lunge in foolishly without remembering his equally stupid first booking
A nice comeback none the less, but we won't be getting the benefit of a red card and 2 pens very often.
A strange game for Leahy today. Missed pen, loads of poor set piece delivery. Maybe needs to direct one of the customary angry rants he often gives to a teammate to himself.
The fact we were better in the second half - let's be honest we could not have been worse than the first and Fleetwood down to 10 men too - and actually showed a little spirit in trying to score will probably keep MB employed for another week.
I'm far from convinced that's a good thing for WWFC.
I’m pretty sure what you say in your last paragraph is the main (possibly sole) reason for MB’s survival. Whether a further loan from the billionaire said to be lurking in the background could now be justified to pay the substantial compensation that would be required to terminate MB’s extended contract is no doubt very much a moot point. But I guess it could come to that.

What time did you start drinking @LX1?
Was it Wednesday?
At least we know there's one team worse at second halves than us.
Kodua has already played in the competition for West Ham so cup tied

Of course. Senility.
Thanks for reminding me.
Who would you replace them with?
A new manager would increase our chances of relegation obvs
A new owner.....casino time
How is it that everyone who saw the team sheet questioned Sadlier being dropped for Campbell? It’s madness that we have got to play him.
And before we take any credit for a draw the second half was barely an improvement it was just that Fleetwood were shit
I'd say our chances are pretty high atm
If you aren't on your way to that veterinary degree next time I see you @OxfordBlue ...
And remember the first rule

Job done.
Now THAT I would pay good money for
Have you ever considered election to the board? Living in Dubai you must have wealth/friends/investors. Get to work!
Sorry, who is living in Dubai ?

Absolute drivel. Try and sober up.
I spend 5 months a year out there
I rated you higher than the desparate 'try and sober up' response! Disappointing
There's a badger on your patio
A must win game.

What happened now we didn't win @Malone ?
Because I would rather have a training cone on the wing than Campbell.
Erm nothing. We stick as we are with the manager.
Like we'd have done if we lost.
Blows my mind that some people have never read or watched Fight Club. The internet is an eye opener!

Too busy buying sh!t that they don't need.
Kenny Jackett in the directors box today. Wycombe about to enter the 'someone / anyone we've heard of' managerial circus?
Doesn't he live locally? I'm sure he's been at games before.
