Surely this one’s in the bag. I for one won’t be at all anxious when we’re 1 up with 2 minutes plus stoppage time left.
(By not at all anxious I mean eyes closed and hands clasped as I mutter fervent prayer to any God who is listening)
If it does go wrong today, which I’ll define as failing to look like scoring against them and/or conceding a very late goal for a draw or loss then I fear the final whistle will be a very unpleasant experience for players and manager.
A non-win is nailed on giving the footballing gods are not looking kindly on us at the moment. (And our usual inability to win games we really should).
In the context of that my hope is for a decent, coherent performance where we at least play well and are ‘unlucky’.
My prediction is that we will be on top first half before they score against the run of play around 35 minutes. Second half we are all over them without really looking like scoring until they get a 91st minute breakaway goal.
It’s going to be a strange afternoon. If we win it will be what is expected if we don’t it’s not going to be a very pleasant aftermath to the game I fear
The phrase “season defining game “it’s perhaps overused, but I think the lack of a win today may be a turning point in the future of our manager
The problem I see with today is, we'll win, we should win, we really should, and boy do we need it !
But, all joking aside, it really will be papering over things and just kicking the can down the road for a week I think. Its not just today that's massive, the next month is, I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see us getting too much after today
I see an unconvincing win, a Kone goal putting a bit of polish on another wise average performance meaning the managerial debate will continue beyond the end of the transfer window.
They’ve just posted the line-up early, and since deleted it. No Scowen in the starting line-up, couldn’t see the subs on my watch. Campbell starts with Sads dropping to the bench.
No Scowen. Perhaps that’s why the lineup was deleted. An inadvertent omission and only ten players listed. Did you get a chance to count the number in the starting eleven?

This should be a comfortable win today. If we don't win it's going to be like the Jonestown Massacre on here at 5pm.
Nothing about Wycombe Wanderers is comfortable

@Manboobs my thoughts exactly

And a long, depressing trip back home…
We have the players to win comfortably but does Matt.

Fleetwood badge crying out for sponsorship from FatFace
I don't think there will be a turning point. I think only relegation will make Bobby C think about making the change.

Going to bash them up good.
1-0
Late defensive sub doesn't cost us today.
I think we will be fine until we play three at the back.
If we don't win today it will be nearly as disappointing as @oilysailor thinking Nick Hornby was from Maidstone rather than Maidenhead.
Turn it in!
Our chairs used to be legendary.
I take it back - our last game v Fleetwood was pretty comfortable (but today won't be)
I'm going for 4-0 to Wycombe and lots of posts afterwards kinda suggesting we might, just might, have turned a corner.

Elephant in the room can kicking the paper over the cracks down the road.
‘Kinnel I’m the happiest Maidstonian on the planet. Whatever the outcome (and you’d have to expect a comfortable Ipswich victory) I am so so proud.
Forgive the intrusion!!
Any win is convincing these days, mate.
You always lighten the mood in the cleverest way, my favourite poster.
Mine too.
Start Kone Matt, caution hasn’t worked for you.

only a few minutes to wait.
Some would say “no Scowen no chance.”
Take a few deep breaths, still along way to go @micra
Grimmer listed as captain so guessing not an error!
