wouldnt be so sure on uche to charlton rumours, the same source later said charlton are in advanced talks for ladapo aswell, so they are proper going for it if they are getting both of them.
Is it not fairly likely that this move would be our bargaining power to beat Charlton to Uche? That’s how it looks following @kipper ’s comments - and he’s been reliable in the past.
Uche is contracted at Port Vale? Taylor and Uche aren’t positionally dissimilar. Nottingham Forest could be comfortable with allowing Taylor to move to Vale for the rest of his loan given he hasn’t set the world alight here and we’ve signed players in January that will impact his minutes.
Port Vale hold all the cards. Uche is likely to prefer Charlton due to them being a bigger club likely offering more money. London lifestyle. Offering Taylor to Vale as part of the deal would be our negotiating tool to swing Vale in our favour.
I'd argue we need a left back. We have Leahy who really should be in midfield, JJ who would be fine, but not sure I'd want there all season as let's be honest his legs have gone, and Woodhouse who's a rookie that hasn't played a pro game yet.
kvy played alot of his career at lb, grimmer and mccarthy also able to fill in there, leahy also handy there and would be my choice aslong as he is happy doing it. Rather go get a cm/10 which ive heard whispers about. We are criminally wasteful in the final third, looks like our recruitment this window is aimed at solving that.
looks like Charlton are getting both uche and ladapo, some statement that..
if we sign any more loans, one of them will have to miss out on match day squad so permanent signings should, in theory, be the only signings we are now looking at.
Interesting if he does let Taylor go back. Supports what I have thought for a while, and that is that he likes players to be able to play multiple roles within the squad and within the game. Taylor looked at his strongest off Vokes but was ineffective wide and as a lone striker. Uche I guess can play as a target man, hold up player and wide. And the recent signings suggest they can play wide or through the middle.
I am not sure how I feel about having a whole team of Swiss army knives. Maybe this is the modern methodology as opposed to a manager / team having a rigid set up and choosing / buying players to fit that jigsaw.
our front line now on paper now has lot of options and potential just hope they come off. chem could be a masterstroke coming back into a trusted environment , last year being his first loan, which are always tough for these lads.
Don’t quote me but I think the window for recall of loan players has now passed meaning Potts, Phillips and Taylor will be with us for the rest of the season.
Notwithstanding this possible deadline for recalling loanees, I'd prefer to see Phillips leave than Taylor. In the long run the former may well have the more successful career but I'd like to think we've now changed to a style that suits the wider squad better - and allows Taylor to shine - but limits the impact of Phillips to a bit-part player off the bench, invariably played out of position.
Recall might be over, but I'm guessing if the feeling was mutual we could still send any player back ? Recall just protects a club if they want to keep him surely

let's see what magic blooms has got lined up....anyone optimistic?
The new invincibles.
Uche to Charlton all but confirmed.
the wheels are starting to move above😁
Not Uche I assume?

They missed out on Goodwin after agreeing £400k fee so obviously have cash.
Are we close to anyone else or is Uche the one we are after?
yer would be a statement from them to get both ladapo and uche.
looking around for sure, where we are in the food chain we have to wait on things and be ready to pounce
Yes to the Forest ‘B’ Team
Do we have sights on Defenders?
wouldnt of thought so, we are pretty well covered so best to use the budget elsewhere. Maybe someone who could do a job if needed
Rumours floating about Taylor being recalled and then sent out to Port Vale. Not too sure about that.

How would that improve our bargaining position?

But Bloomfield has already argued we don’t which is the main thing!

Are we looking at spending fees as opposed to further loan signings?
We must nearly be out of loans
Hmm, I'm not sure KVY is a defender full stop

My thoughts exactly. Not sure I've ever seen him make a tackle.

I did read that too @Midlander but didn't know how reliable that was and what the logic is of not having align with the transfer window
i think the logic is to prevent mucking up clubs’ season planning at the very last minute not giving them time to find replacements.
I've just seen an AFC Wimbledon tweet from yesterday confirming the loan recall period is over:
AFC Wimbledon
@AFCWimbledon
We’re delighted to say that the loan recall window has now passed meaning that @Alexbass137
will spend the rest of season with the Dons!
