I am just glad it will all be over one way or another in just over a day. I expect to lose Anis no later than the summer anyway, but am hoping we get that last half a season to give us the best possible push towards the playoffs.
Yes, that would indeed be quite the game to go out on! Selfishly, as I am planning on going to the away game at Portsmouth last day of the season, I am hoping he can save a final game overhead kick for that contest (and then win the playoffs almost single handedly_.
I have no idea where Young is, but in Chem C’s debut interview for Wanderers TV today, he mentions that he knows Young, so if nothing else he’s presumably still around at the club somehow?
Maybe my memory is failing me in my advanced years, but I thought he did solidly enough last time. Raw as expected but some real quality. I think he just arrived with quite a lot of hype and that set the bar unfairly high.
”He knows the environment at Wycombe, he’s played there and did well there. Matt Bloomfield was very focused on wanting to bring him in to help the team and almost guaranteed him playing every game. With that guarantee, it just felt right, and Chem wanted to do it as well.”
Well once he plays one game for us, he cannot go anywhere else, so we can then do what we want! I'd be amazed if that's been agreed. Mind you, doesn't mean he starts.
Be interesting to see how we get Vokes, McCleary, Sadlier, Taylor, Chem, Kodua and Kone involved. Still think we need another striker, as back up for Vokes.
Got me thinking about the Wycombe Wanderers all time lowest appearance list- anyone have the stats? Any player played less than a full 90 for us before?

I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a very long day
It'd be insanely disappointing to lose him right at the end of the window wouldn't it?
But at least it would have given us a fee more games and one more wonder strike last game.

Anis Mehmeti with a point to prove in the televised playoffs would be lovely to watch

Great signing and I’m sure he wants a starting place.
Probably benched first and then sub for ‘you know who’ (Albanian superstar)?
btw…where is Jack Young these days?

This looks like it...😧

Deja vu
Great, now I'm upset about Anis all over again.
Gawd...started reading Page 1 this and thought whaaaat? Gmac leaving...?
Doh!
Overriding memory of Chem from the first loan was he was incredibly one footed. Hopefully he'll leave a better impression come the end of the season.
Well, ok. Just.... well ok whatever, hope he's better than last time.
Can we have a left back now Matt please
One footed and very inclined to check back is my memory. But that’s fine. Very coachable flaws.
I had hoped for a permanent deal. Maybe in the summer.
We all of sudden seem very attack heavy and very light in other areas.
Maradona was pretty one-footed... Stoichkov and Robben too - maybe it's a good omen...
Announced on Sky Sports, we have just signed him. Hope he’s better than last time. Need a left back.

…almost guaranteed him playing every game…
Advanced years?
You're about the one regular under 40 aren't you? 😋
What the?!
all over again.

'Almost' guaranteed him playing every game...but not quite.
Did't we have someone on loan last season (a keeper?) who was 'almost guaranteed,' to play in every game and made one start.

wow.....what an amazing signing ....Kudos to Blooms and Rob...this shows Real intent and ambition!!!!!!!
James Ferry got 0 minutes didn’t he?
Ray Wilkins played one game. I'm sure there was another player around the same time who played less than 90 minutes but I've forgotten his name.
Harvey Cartwright. There's ten minutes of my life i'm never getting back.
