Appalling game management yet again. A carbon copy of the Port Vale game. 1-0 up with 10 to play and we decide to spend the rest of the game hoofing the ball back to the opposition. Livid.
Pretty sure it was given for offside. There player was on the line as the header towards the goal was made, he then proceeded to challenge the defenders attempting to clear. Should have been a warning shot though.
Momentum wins games. We all saw our front line dropping off and it swung in their favour. I was quietly impressed with the lack of subs last week, but that hesitancy to make changes and keep the front line fresh, and momentum on our side cost us today. Along with retreating at every set piece to having 11 players in and around the box every time. Balls gonna come straight back at you even if you do clear. Stupid tactic.
When will Bloomfield realise that you sometimes need to score more than one goal to win a game? To be a successful manager nowadays you need to have a positive attitude.
It certainly looked that way with the constant foraging into opposition territory by Jack Grimmer. Neither three or four. Just fluid. And for the last half hour, there were ten at the back.
When Vokes gets so tired he’s just ambling around the pitch and playing flickons to nobody, that’s the time to take him off. That was 55 minutes today. Pretty sure Blooms only left him on to defend corners, but I’d much rather we replace him and go for another goal otherwise we’re playing with 10 men.
After 50 games in charge, if he and his management team are too nervous, they might want to think about a new career. I'd accept that excuse if he was in his first 10. Maybe 20. Not 50.
Imagine if he came out Post match "I would have made changes, but I was too nervous. Sorry".
Absolutely fuming. Change to five at the back was a disaster. The players don’t know their roles. Taking Sadlier off was stupid. Putting KVY at LB was baffling. Our defending for the goal was under 11 standard at best.
A better team would have scored a hatful against us today.
The last thing you want in the latter stages of a single-goal lead is chaos. Chaos lends itself to the occasion and momentum is at its most potent. We continuously incite chaos by playing six or seven defenders together at the end of games with no forward on the half way line to bring us out of the chaos. You play pinball lottery when you have 20 men in the 18 yard box. It doesn’t take a genius to work out this incredibly negative tactical approach in late stages of games is killing us.
At least we are charitable hosts - think how many late goals the away fans get to see at their end! I am sure we get five star reviews from visiting supporters.
It was exactly the same against Bristol Rovers too. They almost scored 3 times in stoppage time and our defence looked incompetent, despite having loads of defenders on the pitch
Yes we decided to camp out in our own penalty area. Sort of parked the bus with defenders getting in each others way preventing clearances and inviting a pinball finale.
A quick check through the season indicates from from the 80th minute onwards we have scored 5 goals and conceded 16 goals. Points gained 0, points lost 7.

Dominating: only score one
Lincoln hit post: Warning
Lincoln have a goal disallowed: WARNING
Vokes' beard turns white; WARNING!!!!!!!
Wycombe fans:
Lincoln score.

What is it? What's not quite right? W3 have the squad
... we have the ability.... we saw that in spells today.... why oh why can't we see out a game??? So frustrating 😫
Jose Mourinho might disagree!
Bring on a defender late on, concede late on again.
Brilliant.
This....

Absolute sickener.
Poor finishing from us today, but that one's on Bloomfield, and not for the first time.
If games ended at 85 minutes we would have 38 points and be in 9th. What is the opposite of "never say die"?
Always say live?
Other than the European Conference League, when was the last time he had success with his negative tactics? The game has moved on.

Fair point haha
It may just be me, but I would personally take older players off before they start decomposing.
Clear evidence that Bloomfield hasn't got a clue of how to see a game out. Throwing defenders on and hoping for the best isn't tactics.

Bring on another centre back

Too many cooks innit. How the hell are they supposed to know who does what when you have six defenders on the pitch.

Taking off Sadlier and moving Taylor wide changed the whole shape of the game. We couldn't find ours, and they took advantage

Such a shame as that should have been a comfy see out against a fairly average attack.
And see us nicely out of sight of the bottom 4.
Including a Reading who look to have real issues ahead
Lincoln had 7 shots from inside the box from 80 minutes onwards - were we as under the cosh as that makes it look?
And we had our last shot of any kind on 73 minutes?! Really?
