It was the continuity option and Ainsworths recommendation, jobs don't need advertising like they used to, they would have been made aware of who was available and made their choice.
I'm sure if someone external had got it and ruffled feathers whilst Blooms continued to do well at Col U and overtook us or got another job elsewhere nobody would have been happy either. It was a solid enough decision however it eventually works out.
Glad I didn't go, not looking fwd to the 400 mile round trip next week. Went Tuesday and in my opinion Bloomfield has last the changing room. 5 at back does not work. We can play until end of December and won't score a goal
Unbelievable showing. I didn't think it could get worse than last week but that was just comical.
Can't see how the manager turns it around from here to be honest. We appear to have lost all belief and have no cohesion whatsoever. Difficult to see a way back from that level of performance.
My biggest issue with Blooms has been the insistence on sticking with 5 at the back no matter the opposition and no matter the mounting evidence it was neutering any attacking threat we might have had. He has been incredibly hampered by the huge injury list we have sustained, but instead of adjusting to the available players he shoehorned people into his preferred formation.
I hope he learns from this, though am unsure, and I hope we show faith but also am worried we will not.
Thing is there are goalscorers in the team, that shouldn't just disappear. Lyle Taylor's record at this level speaks for itself. But the tactics are entirely unsuited to these players and as such the goals just aren't coming.
I don’t disagree but what do you do when a manager keeps faith in a system that is not working and ends up in us losing week after week to inferior teams. Do you get relegated out of politeness?

It definitely should've been advertised though in my opinion, was a lazy option
I’m a natural optimist but it’s not good .
Have a word with @bargepole, he can advise you on how to commence legal proceedings!
For once it's been a blessing I've had to miss going to the football because of work.
I like to think I'm generally a pretty positive person but this is depressing. And unacceptable.
We just have to hope there somehow 4 teams worse than us in the league

I’ve got a sick feeling in my stomach that this is Matts last game. Just can’t see where the next result is coming from. Depressing.
He had his faults but he always had the team fighting for him. Love blooms.... but I would happily swap GA back in right about now....
After a previous poor performance the manager said that there would be changes I was kinda hoping for positive changes.
some fans would say on here that you should be happy with our form .
Morecambe: we havnt kept a clean sheet in 7 games.
Wycombe: hold my beer !
Its gunna be a spicy one I think 🤔
Team has given up. Really worrying. Is there a way back?
Something needs to change and quickly. We are sleeping walking ( which is the pace we’re playing at) into a relegation battle.

I can't make the next home game. Thank god.
1600 attendance, 2-0 loss to a mid table League 2 side and no win in 6 in the league. Nowhere for them to hide, we need results asap.

Not sure I've ever been so angry.
If we plan on sacking our managers at the first truly bad run, we are really going to become an obnoxious club.
Blooms in.
I agree. But it can’t be Blooms in persisting with the same utter dross we’ve seen the last 6 games.
alot clubs hate us these days anyways btw .
Blooms had us playing well and at the edge of the playoffs earlier in the season. Key injuries have absolutely killed us.
We went something like 9 without a win under GA towards the end of 18/19 and stuck with him, stayed up, and then had the promotion season.

We'll get relegated going this way ffs. I'm not giving up our League 1 position for the sake of bloody loyalty.
