Gibraltar's U17s nearly got a very respectable result against Belgium yesterday, was still only 2-0 until the 91st minute and by that point the legs had gone and Belgium scored two more to win 4-0. But their keeper Recagno who got his first U17 cap at 13 (now 16) had a hell of a game. They will only be one of the best 3rd place teams if they beat Wales on Tuesday though cos Israel withdrew and their -4 GD won't be enough to go through with a draw vs Wales. They'd have to hope Wales beat Belgium on Saturday and then rest players and take their foot off the gas to let Gibraltar have a chance in the final game so all 3 from the group reach the Elite Stage. Let's face it, in the list of teams you want to face in the next round, if you could choose between Bosnia or Gibraltar, you'd pick Gibraltar.
Oxford appoint Des Buckingham as their new head coach. He's a qualified pilot and ski instructor, so he should be well-equipped to cope whether they go up or slide down the league.
The Gibraltar U21 team held the Netherlands to a 1-0 defeat, not sure if it's down to the Dutch being useless in attack or the Gibraltar defence being outstanding, or a mix of both. One of the Gibraltar defenders is at Newcastle Benfield this season while he studies in Newcastle.
Everton deducted 10 points with immediate effect for financial breaches. I can't remember such a big club being hit like that in the PL era? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67448714
Everton were never going to win this, they knew what they were doing and were just trying it on but the longer other clubs lawyers delay proceedings the dodgier it will look.
Deduction won't happen as appeal already submitted. I would put money on an appeal being partly successful with any points deduction suspended for 12 months as a rap on the wrist!
Come as a bit of a shock hearing the news earlier. Just goes to show how much of a shitshow the club has been in recent years, thankfully people have moved on and it seems to be getting slightly better.
Hopefully we can stay up and then it's all done with. Man utd at home next Sunday, goodison should be rocking.

Absolutely rubbish goal here from the York v Chester cup replay last night https://twitter.com/maxrushden/status/1725051563415060631?t=0sjdtALBS8mfJDbXGKqYPw&s=19
“Your name is a shop” etc etc
How many Wycombe players have been named after shops?
I can only think of Budgens Horseman
Keens Sport shop, right in the middle of town.
Ah yeah
Syrett's Art Shop = Dennis Syrett. Played in goal for us.
We had a manager named after a pub chain

Leo Castledine, son of you-know-who, scored a couple for England U19 yesterday
They all play with Boots on their feet, if that helps.

Can remember some others being charged though....

In fairness, they'll still stay up comfortably - Dyche has sorted them out.

Magnificent work. My faith in the next generation is restored.

Impressive. Very nice..........Let's see Man City's points deduction.
Man city coming to a local park near you soon
Anyone know when the Man City case is likely to be concluded?
Spot on - and they would have to be utterly shambolic to get relegated instead of two of the "poor four".
Everton may have been a beige irrelevance for thirty years, but they have sublime timing!
A year or 2 after Pep has gone probably.
After the FA sit by and let them hoover up another 7 or 8 trophies.
What is surprising is that over the last five years Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle all have a larger net spend than Man City.
