Liverpool aren't going to win anything this year. Surely it is better to grab upwards of £150m on a 31 year old and reinvest that money on new blood for next season. Salah relies on his speed and this is bound to now decline and consequently his goal output will likely reduce.
Having seen how they utterly improbably got away from Newcastle away without a pasting after the early red and actually won the game, I certainly wouldn't rule them out.
Salah is all about the money though so there's not a chance he doesn't spend all season angling for a summer move.
Just coming back for a very premature victory lap on this one.
All in jest of course. If it wasn’t for very inflated market valuations and a spend-happy buyer in Wrexham, I think we’d have struggled to get £150k for him.
I did a double take there, having a minute earlier seen £150m mentioned. Turns out that was for 31 year old Mo Salah who the poster reckons will be slowing down. If Gmac is anyone to go by, Mo could still be motoring for a few years yet.
Chris Seagraves was a 21 year old right back who arrived in the summer of '86. After starting out at Liverpool, making no appearances, he played 23 games for Grimsby Town, then moved to Wealdstone the previous season. He featured in Wycombe's three pre-season friendlies, and was never heard of again. Anthony Riley was the regular right back that season.
If the Hanlan deal falls through, that's not to say that the Uche one will too.
Unless we were solely reliant on the fee to be received from Wrexham to pay for Uche's wages, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll have him in the building regardless of whether Hanlan stays or not.
I think Andy Carroll was great for Newcastle for a season wasn't he? Then underwhelmed everywhere else he went.
Spurs are making some good signings, they may not miss Harry.
The crazy world of football, eh? From the Gruniad:
Callum Hudson-Odoi has passed his Nottingham Forest medical and will sign from Chelsea for what appears to be a bargain-basement price of £8m. It’s only a few seasons ago that Bayern Munich offered to take the player on loan with an option to buy for £70m – and Chelsea rejected it.
To be fair, there is something a little amusing about us excitedly waiting for our inconsistent, low scoring but sporadically thrilling player to leave so that we can sign a (checks notes) inconsistent, low scoring but sporadically thrilling player.

If Salah is sold Liverpool can spend half the money getting Andy Carroll back.
He's signing for Amiens. I just cannot imagine him coping in France.

The big question is who the heck was Chris Seagreaves. I don't remember him at all.

Never mind the Mo show where’s our No Show? Calling Uche - where are you?
Grimmer has posted another video of Hanlan in training
I assume they could do the medicals anywhere and agree the terms remotely too.
But it doesn't sound great, to be 3pm and neither deal is confirmed.
You absolutely deserve the victory lap. Once again, I apologise!
Perhaps he has a conscience. I know it's unlikely.

Can you imagine if both deals were both purely internet-echo-chamber fueled rumours?
I know but I'm sure they'd sell if an offer for £75 million came in.
They seem a similar sized club to us. Imagine if we had £75 million. We'd sell out every game just for the fireworks at the end.
We could get some seriously good crisps too

If Mo Salah was to leave tonight, I wouldn't put it past Liverpool to then put a £175million bid in for Mbappe. Also a like for like replacement
Maybe Wrexham have gone for Uche instead of Hanlan?
Other half Heskey?
Latest rumour in the bistros of Marlow is that Uche starts against Northampton.
Cobblers I say.
Whisper it, but that wouldn't half make more sense then Rufus Brevitting 400k on our boy Hanners.
I have absolute respect for James at the BFP for trying to get a transfer deadline day rolling news page going

Poor guy hasn't even had a development player going out on loan to Berkhamstead to report on

If we do sign Uche hopefully it's Cambridge United Uche and not Every other club he has ever played for Uche.
I will be calling him Juche, obviously.

Nothings going to happen is it?
Lol, I know it's early still, we do have til 11 tonight.... but yes, I'm also starting to get that feeling as well
I'm lost. Are you suggesting Andy Carroll is signing for Amiens
... and for £75m????
He is signing for Amiens. The £75 million was an attempt at humour.
