Hmmm, but in his haste to be prolier than thou @LDF seems to believe only the working class are misogynists. I'm calling it 15-love to @ReturnToSenda - @LDF was out of bounds when he accidentally hung his prejudices out in public.
Yes, we're just pawns in the game of the Couhigs trying to make money. That's what it all boils down to. I'm sure that it's always been the case but everything's obviously being monetised nowadays .
I have to thank Kevin Couhig for his insight - I might be wrong here but I can't shake the feeling that Rob Couhig feels exactly the same as him. The next time that I'm considering whether to spend an hour each way to the game plus a fifteen minute walk in bad weather, I'll try to remember his words. I'll also try to remember that two tickets (an adult and a child) costs roughly the same in the leaky Frank Adams as in Liverpool's Kop!
Since we're living in an exalted universe here (Sir Alex Ferguson!), I wonder if the brother of the Liverpool owner posted his contempt of any of their fans when some of them wanted Klopp out?
That's enough for now. For me, football is fast losing it's allure. Just for the avoidance of doubt, this has nothing really to do with Matt Bloomfield's poor start to that compared of Sir Alex!
'Misogyny' is a ridiculously overworked word these days. In most cases 'sexist' is what is meant. Being sexist means that you might believe women should stick to certain roles or you might not believe they are incapable of certain things. You don't hate women, but you could try to open your little mind a bit. Misogyny, on the other hand, is a visceral hatred of women. Perhaps you can't get laid, or you've had bad experiences with women. Perhaps you are just wired up that way but whatever the reason, it's a step up (down?) from being sexist.
The context of this quote may change the meaning, but if I'm understanding it, he's saying that football clubs *could* be run sustainably, but fans wouldn't like it because it would mean low budgets, rubbish players and likely relegation. If so that's completely correct isn't it? We've certainly seen plenty of that opinion over the years of Trust ownership?
Spot on. I am amazed at how many Wycombe fans are doffing their caps to Kevin and saying he has a point. Maybe we should go back to Covid BCD days so they don't have to stress themselves out about fans dragging the club down.
By the way, as a fan owned club, we got out of L2 and stayed in L1 with no money (many thanks to the Trust - fans to a person).
As TH said, similar remarks have been made by other Couhigs before, and I suspect they will pull punches even less when they have moved on.

Having said that, some of our fans really are an embarrassment 🤢
More Chesham Bois than Ultras Boys
Brilliant
By 'embarrassing' I assume you mean working class.
Disgusting! They should all be very ashamed of themselves!! 😡
What a bunch of oiks. I'll bet they don't hold a liberal arts degree between them.
Oi oi! It's another game of prolier than thou!
No, I mean misogynistic.
"Working class" isn't a synonym for "misogynist". You don't need a "liberal arts degree" to work that one out sunbeam.

No, you mean sexist.
No, buy a dictionary. 30-love
The target of the banner is men, not women.
Holy shit. That shot was so far out it hit DDH's penalty in orbit. 40-love
They made a typo when they wrote "women" instead of "men" on the banner if that was their intention.
"Your wife is the ugliest woman I have ever seen."
"How dare you speak about my wife that way."
"The target of my quip was you sir."
"Oh, that's OK then."
Fair play. They'll shag any woman between 18 and 87 so at least they aren't ageist.

I think that might be Derby County's Wayne Rooney holding the flag.

So shagging women is now sexist?
No, buy a thesaurus. Game, set and match to @ReturnToSenda
Zzzzzzzzzzzz
Oh good lord. You're having a right mare here. It's like that time you went all stone island warrior about "cultural marxism".
What's wrong with being sexy?

Most probably - I'm just reassessing in light of those comments from his dad and certain things Rob has said.
No, but objectifying them is.
Lol, how did I miss this?
