Comparison not quite as silly as some have taken it if too early to judge, Taylor looks a real prospect and we had a few flashes of vintage Vokes in midweek although he hasn't been regularly effective for long periods either, but I fear you might be comparing them now to Uche at his best with little or no evidence of him being way much better than either.
Uche is a handful and scores some great goals but has also had periods injured and out of form and hasn't really scored lots of goals anywhere. Needs his next move to be with someone who really wants him and will build around him. Anyway Vokes isn't going anywhere, Taylor has just started and we probably won't have space for Uche as well. If we could afford him as rotation /third choice I'd take him in a shot.
Basically agree with that @StrongestTeam. I'm only comparing my best guess of what we'd get from Ikpeazu vs. what I think we'll get from Taylor/Vokes. And I've only seen Taylor play twice so have hardly anything to go on.
Obviously we'll never know which would be better. I'm just saying if I had that hypothetical choice I'd prefer Uche.
I would not be sad to see Uche if we could afford him and he is willing to be rotated, to add to Vokes and Taylor...but I reckon Taylor is starting to get up to speed and he is the only one since Anis who seems to get a ball on the edge of the box and look to score. I have high hopes.
not sure your description is backed up by the return. He’s a decent player but injuries and inconsistency in form would stop me wanting to take a huge roll of the dice.
Not sure, Presumably he went on to be on a lot more at both of his recent clubs, and with Vokes still here and a lot of business already done could we match now for a squad option rather than a definite?
Not if you depend on Wikipedia for information (as I frequently do) . I was slightly bemused to read that “Killian Phillips is an Irish footballer who plays in midfield for Wycombe Wanderers, on loan at Premier League club, Crystal Palace.”

Lots of rumours he’s coming to us . Any idea when it’s going to be announced?
Right now. Haha.
Killian Phillips has singed on a season long loan deal from Crystal Palace.
Uche might not have done this regularly but my word...https://twitter.com/secondtierpod/status/1652938655445442562?t=RANpmxLK5KBuuEBOqBu6-Q&s=19 Wages would be the issue and he probably lacks the consistency to be worth a huge outlay but a great player to watch regardless
He would not suit our style right now whatsoever. Fantastic player for us back then though.
Yeah, banging goals in from miles out isn't to be encouraged.
One of those who, had he stayed and stayed fit, would have torn up League One I think. But we all move on.
If he and taff were available for the whole championship season we would have stayed up.

Ikpeazu would be absolutely miles better than anyone we'll have upfront this season.
Vokes?
I've only just realised that we have signed 10 players this summer. Nothing says changing of the guard like a complete new squad!
Do you reckon in their training activities, they play newbies vs old guard. I think the match up would be interesting to see!
1) Max - Shala
2) Grimmer - V-Y
3) Taf - Keogh
4) Forino - Low
5) JJ - Boyes
6) Scowen - Leahy
7) Hanlan - Potts
8) Wheeler - Breckin
9) McCleary - Philips
10) Vokes - Taylor
Mellor goes to Sutton on loan.
Agent Mellor.
Before or after our League Cup game against them? Would he travel with the squad and we just leave him there?
Haha that’s definitely debatable.
In my opinion, yes.
No criticism of any of our other attackers.
But Ikpeazu is the best forward we've had in years. Hold up play, aerial presence, speed, goals - couldn't ask for a better lone forward.
I'd swap Vokes and Taylor for Ikpeazu in a heartbeat.
Thanks in advance for the thumbs downs.
Is he red hot?
Or burnt out!

Last 3 years
80 + appearances
11 goals

Think you mean @Glenactico Andy
He has just liked the clubs last post on Instagram 😄
Which one? I dont see this
edit - don’t worry just seen it. Thanks.
How many starts?
Uche was on £3.5k a week in his first spell. So I’d suggest wages would not be a stumbling block.
