Sounds like a fantastic signing. Is he a box-to-box midfielder in the style of Adeniran? Or an all-rounder like O'Nien? Or another Scowen? Or a creative playmaker like, hmm, Stephen McGinn?
So, with Kian Breckin from Man City, and now Freddie Potts from West Ham, we've got 2 rising potential PL stars in the building. Does this mean that Wycombe are seen as the go to club for PL sides to develop their youngsters in the rough and tumble of League One?
And, more importantly, with these and the other exciting new signings we've made, does the page on the club's website have enough room in the Points column, to accommodate three figures?
I always thought that not exploring Premier League loans was a miss. The last couple of seasons our loan market work was very lacking. The trick is to develop these players and develop others around them, make our youngsters aspirational on and off the field
I might be wrong, but my reading of the change in policy was that it came after the Knight, Adeniran, Muskwe season in the Championship, where they all had decent-ish seasons, given the stage of their careers, and then none of them signed for the subsequent season. Given that the likes of Gape and Fred had signed previously after loan spells, the management might have thought that at least one of them would and were a bit peeved at having put them in the shop window when players of our own could have been using that development time. Things that Rob and Gareth said at the beginning of the following season gave this impression.
Wasn't it when a load of loanees went back in a January to be sold or sent higher by their clubs? Thinking Randell Williams, Bryn Morris, maybe one or two others?
@Mandown For how much? Even at 25/1 I can't see the appeal of betting - to make the reward worthwhile I'd need to put down more than I can afford to lose, otherwise it's pocket change that I wouldn't even notice.

He is seemingly being lined up as the next Declan Rice at WHFC. Very exciting signing. Feels like we may have landed another Eze.
I'll leave this here. Never thought I'd see a current European Cup winner sign for us, even if it is just the Europa Conference League.
Didn't some bloke who won the actual Champions League coach us?
He never said...
🤣
Means nothing.
Tbf, if you could understand anything he did say, you were doing better than most.
'Marathon not a sprint... Champions League.... Celtic... Marathon not a sprint'
This is an excellent signing and he will be a major player for us this coming season. Well done again Matt 👍👍👍
Can’t wait to get going now. COYB!!!
On the West Ham forum they think he needs to gain some muscle and generally 'toughen up'. We seem a good choice.
We had one who won the Cup Winner's Cup too. Although the less said about him the better.

Has anyone got a list of the signings, their position and whether they're loan or permanent?
I've totally lost track.

Always a fine line between really benefitting temporarily with class loan players, like MK and Hereford did in recent years.
Then the loanees go back and the team drops off a cliff.
Looks like we've got a great blend so far though.

This is our 'Evel Knievel jumps the Grand Canyon' year. Either we fly into the Championship on the back of young raw talent. Or it's splat.
Sponsorship logo for 24/25 season shirts?
It’s going to be exciting either way.

This seems a fantastic signing ! Really looking forward to the new season atm
I believe he's predominantly a (6) defensive midfielder.
I think this is fairly accurate...
Richard Keogh - Centre Back - Permanent signing from Ipswich.
Harry Boyes - Left back / Left wing back - Loan signing from Sheffield United
Kane Vincent Young - Full back / Wing back (either side) - Permanant signing from Ipswich
Joe Low - Centre Back - Permanent signing from Bristol City
Kian Breckin - Box-to-box Central Midfielder - Loan signing from Man City
Luke Leahy - ex Left Back - now (left) Central Midfielder - Permanent signing from Shrewsbury
Laurie Shala - Goalkeeper - Permanent signing (ex Palace youngster)
Dale Taylor - Striker - Loan signing from Nottingham Forest
Freddie Potts - Defensive Central Midfielder - Loan signing from West Hm
Absolutely fantastic window. I’m incredibly pleased.
What price at the bookies for promotion.
6/1
Wonder if the signing of Potts means that Tetek will now not be signed
25/1 EW first 4.
I'm on
