I thought he was quality but it took him a good part of the season to settle in. I would imagine even if he was firing by the time they come to AP, Josh will keep him quiet. (Famous last words)
I think his ability in the air was an under-rated aspect to his play in our set up.
Particularly early season last year when few would argue he was ‘on it’ his competitiveness when the ball was in the air (which to be fair with us was often) was the reason (I think) he kept his place
Well given the propensity of a fair-sized minority of our fans to boo almost any ex-WW player on their return to AP, I can only imagine Wing is likely to get dog’s abuse after signing for The World’s Dullest Club.
Fair enough if he left, but honestly, just go to somewhere better than that.
It depends on whether Reading can get Wing engaged and get him to buy into their way of playing. Ainsworth looked like he'd got through to him not long before he left for QPR, and then Wing had a somewhat underwhelming end to the season after having played a key role in our purple patch.

Can they afford to pay him or anyone's wages
Cor Blimey...so that Ainsworth hasn't poached all of our best players.
Yet.
A strange move to be sure. I hope Max has been studying the clipreels.
Which joker has edited his wikipedia page to say he plays for Dover Athletic?
A bizarre sideways move for him with a club who are in turmoil and further from home than us.
Best of luck to him.
I think Dai Yonge at Rdg has paid off a tax bill and injected some cash.
There was mention somewhere it was contract length that was the clincher...but is a three year deal with a team that might not pay you good business?
Ooops.
While he scored some great goals defencivly he was poor with little pace. Josh made him look good
Wow, screams that he thought he'd be chief of loads of big offers, didn't get them and had to scrabble around to save face this late.
No doubt he'd still pocketed a big increase but so much for the ambition or moving back north stuff.

He's the sort of midfielder Curtis Thompson would relish getting stuck into - though I'm sure Josh will do the honours with style next season.

He is worth $26 billion so has slightly more loose change than our owner!
"Reading are still awaiting the outcome of an EFL charge linked to failing to pay players on three occasions during the 2022-23 season."
"The Royals, who were served a winding-up petition by HMRC at the end of June, are set to appear in court are 9 August over their tax bill."
Maybe he forgot his PayPal password, hate in when that happens.
I can understand him not wanting to go to QPR but what on earth is he doing signing for them!!

I'm not even going to boo, just let out a long 'meh'
I think we’ve established now that the back up north thing was just made up on the gasroom
I think you have found a new motto for Reading.
FWIW.
Clearly any semblance of ambition or the championship was too.
Latter day Mickey Bell history repeating situation?
Nah.
I very much doubt that any of the Wycombe squad will be quaking in their boots at the prospect of Wing lining up against us.
(As long as Max remembers not to stray too far off his goal line).

Bet he’s chuffed with his move…..

Bet Mrs Wing regrets burning bridges end of the season, but that does require self awareness, so may be…….
Confession time. I don’t know what that means, @perfidious_albion .
It does seem like a strange decision to go to a club who have demonstrated an inability to pay reliably.
