If it is Joe Low, how soon after it will we announce that Chris Forino has gone to QPR? Have you noticed that he hasn't taken part in any of the pre-season games so far? He might have a knock but I suspect its something else.....
Wrist injury. Told us at the Open Day that he would be out for another two weeks but could play after that with the strapping on. Whether or not that’s for us or QPR I guess we’ll find out.
If thats the case, he's missing out these games and anything risky to be wrapped in cotton wool & bubble wrap so ensure he doesn't fail his medical.
Genuine question tho: If Chris does have a move coming in / being discussed, will he be removed from the squad and train on his own until its complete? I know there won't be a sharing of tactics but the squad wouldn't want to practice tactics and set pieces with him as he won't be around? (Does that make sense?)
Rob said in his interview the other day that we want to ensure Forino goes somewhere where he'll get regular minutes. Not being funny, but if a club meets our valuation of him, that's all that should matter - what happens after that isn't our problem. It might seem cold, but that's the nature of the beast.
I took it more as if he does go anywhere.. there will be a decent sell on clause, so would want him to go somewhere where he can play and improve... not sit around warming someone's bench 🤔
Yeah certainly seems like it’s got legs. As much as I rate Forino very highly, I don’t think he’d suit Bloomfield’s system. Tafazolli much better suited. If you like at Fenshaw Analytics’ statistical analysis on Joe Low you’ll realise Low suits Bloomfield better too. Good work from the club on a contingency plan! Hope the fee is >£350k
The main disappoint to me if Forino leaves is that injuries prevented us from having many more wonderful memories with him. Not only one season less than Mehmeti, but 52 matches compared to 97 for Anis. Great lad, great talent, and I wish him nothing but success if he does go (apart from when we play QPR in the 24/25 season, of course).
It's been good to see Forino's progress but his departure is now looking more likely. It's the model of the development squad, though, to have these players come through and then to sell them on.
We now need to turn our thoughts to who is the next prospect. Maybe Ward or Young will push on this season or perhaps there's a new player we don't yet know about about to burst onto the scene?
I remember in Rob’s most recent Wycombe Sound interview he mentioned that the budget could possibly be increased, maybe he was referring to income from Forino.

Dagenham win the second game 1-0 with a header from a corner. #Chairboys fielded Jack Young, Antoine Makoli and nine young trialists. (WWFC Twitter)
So 2 trialists in the 60 minute game and 9 in the 40 minute game = 11 trialists. Didn't Mr Kipper say there were 11 signings on the way!
I think that was the BFP rather than @kipper (unless @kipper is James Richings.)

Breaking Transfer News Alert!
Tip: if you really want to get in first, once you see the GIF, keep refreshing the club site/app - story has to go there a few mins before socials 😉

I'm not sure he meant it like that, I took it more that that would be a decision for Chris to make.

Plus potential appearance-based bonuses. I hadn't looked at it that way!
3 different takes on what he meant.... 🤣
I can imagine how much F5ing you do on an average day.
Is that an ancient reference I'm not going to get?
From an old episode of The Simpsons.
Homer was able to work from home, and set up the plastic bird to answer YES to everything, until the nuclear plant blew up.
Forino to QPR gaining momentum on Twitter this evening, seems likely to go through.
The Mirror reporting that it's close.
Well Rob said it wasn’t something that was on right now and I believe him.
Who’s to say QPR didn’t double their bid today?
I suspect Rob was trying to drum up an increased fee.
So do I, it was a bit tongue in cheek really.

Good luck to Chris if he goes...but I wish they would get on with it. How much is out of contract Wingy holding out for?

I am really antsy to see what Christie Ward is all about! He has garnered some rave reviews on here.
Joe Low is only 21 and could be developed into a saleable asset too.
