I expect you have in mind that he has (presumably) had an assurance from Matt B that he will play in midfield after after being unhappy about being moved to left back/wingback by the new manager at Shrewsbury.
I see him as a replacement for Lewis Wing, particularly as he’s been given the number 10 shirt. The comment by a Shrewsbury fan (quoted on Wycombe Fans FB) that we’d be happy if we’re looking for a battler but disappointed if we’re looking for someone to unlock defences seems somewhat counterintuitive.
Think Blooms has said Keogh is here to play not just cover, and we don't know if it'll be a back 5 or 4 , or if Leahy will play lb/lwb or midfield so with Taff/Keogh/Forino/Grimmer/JJ/Leahy and JMac still here we can maybe relax a bit more now even if one or more of those were to leave and bring in a chunk of Dosh.
I'd like to see some pace and goal threat further forward as next priority but sure it's being worked on.
I don’t think Luke Leahy would take too kindly to being asked to play left back/wingback! One of the main reasons he decided to up sticks seems to have been the new manager’s decision to move him from his favoured central midfield position from which he became last season’s leading scorer.
Alot of teams have 2 battlers at the base of thier midfield nowadays, thats in a 3 or 4 at the back. allows the rest of the team to move forward. full backs high and wide in possession.
Pondering Rob's statement about the playing budget it is pretty reasonable to think that we have quite a lot of wiggle room even after the 3 signings of this week
When you consider who left the payroll and when they joined us (I'm thinking Horgan especially) it's pretty possible with a smaller squad we can afford to spend a little bit of capital. I would like to see us get in a talent that might have a resale value in the future, Knight for example fits that brief for me.
Let’s be fair, @kipper provided info that the rest of us didn’t have and doubted but it turned out to be spot on. So my appreciation for his input is genuine.

Good signing Leahy.
A captain, top scorer and player of the season at an upper mid table L1 side sounds very good on all levels.
And especially like it sounds he's purposely wanted to come here as well.
Purposely wanted to come here @Malone ?
You mean he’s not here by accident?

Interesting, didn't spot that. LB still big priority then if that's what has been discussed.

He wanted to come here basically son.
A battler who scores a fair few seems an intriguing mix.
But we'll take it.
Gone a bit quiet @kipper any more today then?
Josh Knight?
not likely, later in the week there is a chance, theres a few irons in the fire, just a hard market where we are looking.
Thank you for your input @kipper
I can also confirm we may or may not make another signing this week.

So we are looking at a few West Ham players!
Or Scunthorpe players!
That was sooner than I expected!!!
