Whatever happened to the Gasroom London pub meet-ups
Since recently starting a job with an office in London, it got me thinking that I could finally make one of those evenings down a London boozer periodically advertised on the Gasroom pre-covid, but hadn't heard anything about since those times.
Is it time to get that particular ball rolling again?

Could be time for a pre-season outing? @OakwoodExile @bluntphil @drcongo ? Anyone else?
I’d be up for another.
How does Thursday 3rd August sound?
A few beers before the season starts…
I'll try and pop along
I'm up for this, it would be good to meet some of the Gasroomers.
Will this be at a pub near Marylebone Station, such as the Royal Oak in York Street?
What about https://sixescricket.com/ where it involves Cricket and normal bar things?
The three kings in Clerkenwell has always worked well for us
You are no longer able to smoke rubber cigars in there.
Errrrr ... my immediate reaction is that that looks like the end of civilisation.
I guess its not for everyone but I've heard it that it can be a very good laugh and it's a very relaxed atmosphere.
Not sure I want to go to the soft play.
I would have thought a bistro in Richmond was more your preference Bargers. You could swap a couple of recent Soccer stories, before boring everyone with your rugger exploits.
Maybe the far fetched one where you kept your mustard cords in pristine condition despite a day at Twickers on pink gin and sherry chasers.
I can’t make it beyond Greater Wycombe but ,oh, how I’d love to be a fly on the wall when @ChasHarps and his beloved “Bargers” lock horns.
It'll be live on Sky Box Office
Social media Influencers having a boxing match is quite a popular draw I am told.
Can you two meet up and live stream it?
Ringing the Blues here we come!
First thought is it could be pretty tasty. But I dare say after some Chas anecdotes from the 1970s the two will end up making suite suite love.
”In the Blue corner, the Latin lover, new kid on the block Tory Boy Barger”
” In the red corner, Comrade come the revolution, Chas ‘sharp to the bottom of the glass’ Harps”
Are yoooou reaaaady to ruuuumble!
I see what you did there 😉
I'll turn up wearing a morning suit, top hat, and spats, carrying a silver-topped cane, and a copy of the Telegraph under my arm, so that everyone can recognise me.
In case of any trouble, I'll be accompanied by an entourage of shaven-headed Serbian thugs, who I've previously used to beat the crap out of tenants who were late paying their rent ...
Calling this thread to order, shall we say the evening of 3rd August at the Three Kings in Clerkenwell?
@Otter87 I'm sure your suggested place is perfectly good, though I'll have a job explaining myself to SWMBO if it comes out I went somewhere with the strap line "Get swinging from just £7.75 p.p.".
The Three Kings has changed hands since our last meet up - it’s still a decent enough pub though.
The Horseshoe is an alternative venue, a long throw-in away from TTK, which can act as a back-up if required.
1830 kick-off?
18:30 on 03/08 at the Three Kings works for me, already in my Outlook calendar.
Just need to book my travel ticket on the Trainline app.
Are we still on for this Thursday?...
Three Kings from 6.30pm

If it's rammed / not very good we will decamp to a nearby alternative and I'll post any deveopments on this thread.
I can no longer make it unfortunately
I'll be there, catching the 16:56 from High Wycombe.
I'm intending to be there.
Oh chas... come on mate.... too much. So many of us stuck up for you and really hoped your disappearance was not forever.
Don't work yourself up over another poster that boils your piss....
We probably all have one or two...
I have in the past risen to it and been uncharacteristically rude in response so I don't judge.
Just block them if you can't cope with them. Please.
Edit: I thought this was a new comment. Didn't realise it was pushing a month old..
Annoyingly I won't be able to come as something's come up that evening, have a good evening the intrepid folk who can make it!
