Let's not forget that one of our first signings of the 19/20 summer was Jacob Gardener Smith, and one of the last 2 were Fred and Wheeler. So, let's not write off our entire season because the first one through the door isn't exactly what we were hoping for.
I keep asking that and just get thumbs down...it's a genuine question. People keep going on about people not buying ST, no ambition, etc etc...but what signing will please the underwhelmed? No-one seems to have an answer...except we 'hope to be proved wrong' about the ones we do.
Someone like Sonny Perkins would be wonderful if Leeds deem him not ready for Championship football but as they got relegated, I would very much expect him to play for them.
Niall Huggins, currently at Sunderland but must know Thommo through his Welsh connections, could be a good loan signing.
Oliver Sanderson at Fulham if they are willing to loan him out.
There's loads of youngsters out there...just need the parent clubs to let them come and experience L1 football.
I think the issue for me in hoping for a specific player is that with how many potentially available players there are out there, it is almost complete guesswork as to whether we are interested in any particular one unless we have the benefit on an ITK. The only recent one I can remember where there was a groundswell of expectation was Fred, and there were obvious reasons for him coming back.
If we are up for young loanees, I'd imagine we will be waiting a little while, as parent clubs will want to gauge who needs game experience over the first week or so of pre-season
J G-S has recovered from his nasty ACL. Currently on hols in the Med (again!). As a non league player with a dad on junior Shadow Minister wages he does alright for himself - quite a wardrobe and girlfriend. Follow on Insta if you want to feel old and envious.
Happy with the signing of Richard Keogh and feel he's a good addition to the squad. Having met him on Saturday, seems to have settled right in and has bags of experience that he wants to pass across to the younger players in our squad like Chris and Declan. Solid start to the window, and looking forward to adding a few more in over the next few weeks.

To be fair fishing from the Ipswich pool is a lot better than fishing in the Aldershot one
I'm going to have to pretend to know who that is
Yes, this is very true !
At least raiding Ipswich old boys is a traditionally bigger club in the same division with aspirations to be higher.
Constantly raiding a team the division below always felt wrong. Especially when they weren't exactly Sean Devine / Currie types in the main.
David de Gea is now a free agent. A long shot but at least ten Hag won't be able to cockblock it.
Oldest player still playing I believe
Looked him up and I *think* there's a guy in the Japanese third tier who's even older
Kazu is 56 and is currently playing as a forward for a Portuguese second division team.
The acquisition of second hand chip fryer!
The original post deserves a lot more credit. Went well over my head but a retrospective 🤙
Scott McGleish made 19 appearances last season.
Bloody hell

To expand that... who exactly are we hoping for?
Surely he could use his free bus pass to travel to AP?
Kazu
We've missed a trick there!

I’m still hoping for Dennis Adeniran to be buzzing around Josh in the middle of the park...
Not seen him snapped up by anyone yet, but then I haven’t exactly got my finger on the pulse as far as latest transfer news goes.

I don’t think he’s been a shadow minister since Keir took over.
How about Sam Smith from Cambridge United?

Declan? Surely Declan Link hasn’t re-signed.
Skura - young lad we signed from Kingstonian in Feb (I think)
For a second there….Declan? Declan Rice! Now that would be Rob ‘putting his money where his mouth is’.
