The Aussies love their association football more than you'd guess. Huge crowds at 3am and 5am for screenings of their World cup games, lots of interest in "EPL" despite the time differences and decent followings for their ALeague despite it being a bit lame financially and competitively.
The trouble they have, much like the US, is the traditional sports have dominated the resources and the old guard seize on any chance to give it a kicking.
The good thing about squash as opposed to tennis is that if you do a lousy shot, the ball more or less comes back to you. With tennis it's probably three courts away!
F1 in recent years became a tedious procession & is not worth wasting any further breath on.
Baseball, Basketball & to a lesser extent Netball make little sense to me.
Snooker, Pool & Darts are pub games elevated to TV, but frankly are fairly tedious nonetheless.
I cannot abide Boxing & UFC/MMA leaves me totally cold & wondering about the participants sanity.
Whilst I enjoy Gridiron & Rugby (both codes) I also get why others don't.
Cricket is "God's Own Game" & I cannot fathom why anyone would not enjoy at least one of it's formats (T20, one day or Test match - though the Hundred is an abomination).
Hurling & Shinty are wild & well worth a watch even if you don't quite get the rules, much more brutal than Gaelic Footie.
As a spectator sport the 4 x 100 relay is up there with the best. I could quite glady watch heats of that all day, in preference to the pole vault, shot put.
@Erroll_Sims Sorry I do not enjoy cricket at all despite the excitement of the 1980s Tests on the BBC, living in the city that contained Trent Bridge and Gary Sobers coming to my primary school once to present some prizes.
F1 is the sport with the biggest difference between seeing it live and watching it on tv. But it is struggling at the moment, and those in charge don’t seem to have any idea how to fix it.
Anyone who has read the details of 115 charges of financial irregularity is unlikely to be able to think straight at all. Even taking into account redacted passages.

When they combine Aussie rules with Gaelic football, it's pretty damn funny to watch.
I heard they had to stop those games because they used to just beat the shit out of eachother non-stop

Loved playing tennis, watching tennis, unfortunately it's governed and surrounded by middle class and upper class separatists.
Tennis is a great game to play and an absolutely appalling game to watch even disregarding the class issues.

Would have given you a thumbs up had it not been for your comment on snooker.
Thanks @CarParkPete, its the thought that counts...

@Wendoverman that's fine I may not understand why but I do respect it is a choice
I'll just leave this here without further comment.

How come this thread hasn't been derailed with rumours of player sightings at Cressex?
Golf!
You joke, but I actually put 30 quid in my car today. Felt guilty
Back on topic, I'll nominate Speedway as the most boring sport.
The races only last 4 laps, and most of the time the rider who leads into the first bend ends up winning. Nothing to see here.
Yes, tiddlywinks is a sport. Not a very good one, but one nonetheless.
In an alterntive category, I would like to submit this as most unlikely of entertaining sports. I give you... competitive tag:

Utterly ludicrous.
😂
Must be odd being a City fan.
On the one hand demolishing everyone and hoovering the trophies.
But facing 115 actual charges after years of whispering and nods. And anyone who has read the details can't possibly think they're all trumped up.

Watched the FA Cup today and that was pretty dull.
