When see signed Noel Ashford he played alongside a chap we had brought in on trial called Rob Simpson in pre season friendlies.
So that could have been Ashford & Simpson in midfield. That info is solid as a rock.

Saunders and Yennaris as a couple of unfit guys needing game or two are as good a pair as we probably ever got in one go. Straight after PCH and Scowen were sold, unbelievable players they never had any intention of letting us keep. Bit of a formation change then off to Wembley without skipping a beat.
We got Moore and Steven Taylor on loan on the same day.
Taylor was from Newcastle.
Did well out of Derby at the time. Forsyth, Simpson, Taylor, Kavanagh and also Stallard who started with them but I’m pretty sure we picked up from Bradford.
Didn't Stallard come from Notts County? Or did he go to Notts County?
