Man of the Match - Ipswich (A)
It can't hurt to do this early, as I doubt anyone is going to be rushing to vote anyway.

I did Scowen...up to the pen he was best defender and best midfielder.
I went with Josh too. Hard to ding him for causing our 4th when they were already out of sight.
Same
Tempted to abstain but Forino and Scowen did well. I’ve gone Forino as he didn’t give a petty penalty away late on.
I was tempted to abstain but decided in the end to give it to Wheeler who ran his socks off & along with Scowen & Forino wer the only players who got close to their usual standard of performance
Chem, we got better when he and the other subs came on.
Wheeler. A resurgent player at the moment. Struggling to get a start earlier in the season to one of the first names on the team sheet
Yeah, Wheeler.
This was probably one of the least enjoyable games I’ve seen in recent times, but Wheeler was tireless and executed exactly what he was brought on to do, which you can’t say of everyone today.
I still have no idea why we persist with Hanlan as a number 9 when he’s so bad in the air (he’s a good player, but aerially terrible) - why we don’t try Wheeler there as long as Vokes is out is just beyond me.
Wheeler without doubt. Freeman looked tidy to begin with and then went missing.
Scowen was ok but a shade of his usual self.
PBo I agree Harlan is not a 9. Swop him with Wheeler upfront and let him run at defenders. He scored a terrific solo goal not so long ago
I honestly forgot Freeman was playing
I voted Scowen, completely forgetting the daft penalty he gave away.
I retract my vote and choose nobody, what a miserable afternoon.
Wheeler was tried up front earlier in the season and it didn't work. We'd also miss him in midfield or out wide where he's more effective.
Painful though it is, I don't think we really have any options other than Hanlan.
We just can’t keep playing Hanlan up front on his own.
As others have said, he’s a terrific player out on the wing taking players on, but he can’t head the ball and doesn’t really seem to be able to hold up play either.
Unfortunately, these are the crucial attributes needed to lead the line in a Wycombe team.
Have to admit, so did I.
Wheels again.
Scored a cracker against Exeter
He was poor in that game though. I agree with the OP. Wheeler up front was tested and it didn’t work at all either. I want TJ in the Alex Samuel role.
