Bleh, can't even justify voting De Barr in recognition of his first EFL goal as he should have scored with the earlier header (or at least make the keeper save it).
Despite there no longer being the option I have abstained.
Lewis Wing certainly didn’t put a foot wrong and always looked in control apart from when it came to shooting.
I’m joining @Twizz though.
Amazed to see Grimmer getting a couple of votes today.
Thought he had a bit of a stinker, and was fairly lucky not to get a quick fire second yellow late on for his protests.
Tough one today
No one really stood out on a dreadful pitch against a team that plays like us...
I am struggling to pick any one, so like the othr 2 posters above I will abstain today
Yup. I can’t pick anyone out for a good performance today.
Wing, by an absolute country mile. In a first half where we couldn’t string a pass together he remained composed and was the only player to not constantly resort to loose long balls. In the second half, where we were clearly playing a more passing game, he enabled this by regularly coming deep and collecting the ball. Once Scowen came on and the two were back together in midfield we controlled it. Sadly that was for only 20 minutes and those around continued to be on a different wavelength, or perhaps not one at all.
Yep, I went for Wing for pretty much all the same reasons
Scowen - his second half inclusion was different class. Hope he is fit for Tuesday.
Went for Jacobson, I know he missed the pen but thought he was decent today.
Went for Tjay not because he was better than anyone else, but just because of his goal. To be honest, didn't think anyone was particularly worthy of the accolade.
Wing. Just a notch away from goals but always there to receive the ball and make things happen. He’s some player. Even on a day when we weren’t clicking
Bloomfield full of praise for Tjay too, mentioning his insane workrate in training and desire to learn and add to his game. Kid deserves a start.
I had to go Wing. I have come to love that chap!!!
If JJ had put that penalty away I think he would be challenging Lewis Wing for MOTM.
He had a really good game apart from that, including a ball in the Burton box which deserved to be an assist. The only reservation I have is that, in addition to his ubiquitous style of play, Forino has to do a certain amount of covering in the left back area to compensate for JJ’s (slight?) lack of pace.
9 votes for Tjay. Record number for a sub ?
More votes than touches of the ball. Other than his goal and miss he barely got a kick.
Hope he starts Tuesday though.
Definitely one of those picking from a limited set of options jobs.
If he can use that goal to storm into the team and be our new Johnny Dixon, then it'd be brilliant of course.
I'd probably want to see Hanlan in a two with Vokes first though.
I know Bayo won MOTM from the bench once and had a significant number of votes.
Hanlan will be chafing at the bit (to use an appropriately equine phrase) against his former club.
To quote Kevin Keegan @micra "I will love it if we beat them, love it!".
Did that not end well?
My wittiest post for ages and not a single grudging thumbs up!
mrs micra is worrying about my failing eyesight. I have to go.
Let's hope so. He's got all the attributes (bar heading!) and on his day is an absolute force of nature.
