  • 3380 with 70 hardy travellers from the Cod Army

  • 3,941 including 87 away

  • From WWFC official 3560 with 100 from Fleetwood - great turnout from the opposition there

  • I think the majority of the Fleetwood fans would be based within 20 miles of Adams Park.

    Not really.

    Oh, OK then.

In my experience, a significant number of former supporters of any given club migrate, mainly during their working years, to other parts of the country. In my years of travelling to away games, I became aware anecdotally and through talking to other fans that, although they had moved up north, they still took every opportunity to watch Wycombe when they were within a reasonable distance of their northern homes.

The same, I suspect, applies in reverse to northerners who have moved south - possibly more so given the proximity to Adams Park of the great metropolis where the streets are paved with gold. Your master, Dick, (important comma), knows all about that.

Unless a coach was involved, I doubt whether more than half of the 100 Fleetwood fans would have travelled over 200 miles to watch an evening match on a bitterly cold evening - their beloved club’s fifth match in fifteen days and with nothing at stake competitively.

Well, that’s what I think. I was slightly surprised to be asked to explain what was just a throwaway bit of totally inconsequential speculation. Hope it makes sense.

  • Lot's of season ticket holders not able to get to game. Family stand very empty due to Tuesday night, cold weather and the Family initiative on Saturday.

Probably just over 3k in the ground.

  • Top Twenty for the Total Attendance [3560]

Many belated congratulations to @PJS who tops this table and holds the Forecaster of the Week Title ........ well probably until I manage to analyse the outcomes from the Burton game! These games feel close together for me

A very fine prediction that only missed by 17 by @PJS.

Congratulations also to @Shev and @BlueBoy who recorded the other two sub 100 predictions.

Mentions for the Sequentialist Trio - @bookertease, @Commoner and @MindlessDrugHoover whose predictions of 3456 were out by 104. Further mentions for @LDF, @wwfcblue, @Glenactico, @NewburyWanderer, @a40 and @DevC all of whom scored under 200.

Top Twenty for the Away Crowd [100]

This one an absolute triumph for the Well Rounded Trio - whose predictions of 100 were absolutely spot on. Massive congratulations all round to @Will_i_ams , @thedieharder and @Forest_Blue.

Congratulations to @DJWYC14 and @Alexo who had single figure misses.

Worth a mention that as well as providing the first ever three way tie at the top, because @BlueBoy joined the Sequential Trio this table produced a first time quartet in 10th place.

I don't think I will manage any more posts until tomorrow.

  • Cheers @railwaysteve - I can say in advance that @PJS got the Burton game on the nose. I am guessing no-one has had a better two week run than sweeping back to back wins and being out by just 17 and 0?
