I'd be very happy with Bloomfield actually. Yes it's early, but he's served an apprenticeship under GA and clearly made a good start to life at Col U. Timing is rarely perfect and I am sure he would be able to galvanise the squad.
If Bloomfield happens, I think @floyd will need monitoring as his absolute ideal scenario has happened - most loved player back, and Col Utd can go back to being rubbish!
I'm with you on this. (Well was until you seriously edited it!!)
As if my emotions haven't already been dragged all over the place this past few days.
We lose probably the most loyal manager in the business and end up taking possibly the most disloyal (very harsh, very funny given who it is).
But everyone knows the impossibility of taking over from a legend and succeeding (Liverpool boot-room days excepted) so much as I'd love to see Matt Bloomfield succeed, given the financial head-winds its going to be extremely choppy for who ever inherits the job, so a part of me wishes the Al*n Sm%$£ role is taken by someone I don't really have any particular affinity with.
With Blooms, would sentiment make us commit to a long-term deal? Or is it a case of give him until the end of the season then reassess. As much as it feels 'right', he's still pretty unproven.

Love Rhino, but probably MON and one of the experienced based players as assistant would be a good shout.
Can't imagine Roy Keane will resume his partnership with MON!

Presumably not that Tom Williams.
Bloomfield would be number one on my list.
Bbc East actually reporting Blooms to us is pretty much done. Christ
BBC Look Easy now reporting the deal is expected to be completed today!

Crazy, especially how quickly it looks to be happening!
It would suggest they are appointing the right successor.
Yep, worded that too quick I think. It'd quickly allay all worries about losing the spirit, and a delay in getting to know players etc.
Keith is a legend, but he runs a flooring firm.
Not sure he’s going to go from that to suddenly taking training overnight.
Are they getting their info from the Gasroom and random tweets, or is the Beeb still more reputable than the BFP?

Does anyone know how long Blooms signed for at Col U?
Guardian also now reporting Wycombe 'closing on appointing' Blooms.
This might be our greatest act of shithousery ever.
If the Gasman is calling it a done deal that’s close enough to an official announcement for me.

It's possible that Blooms had a clause in his contract allowing him to speak to Wycombe if the managers job ever came up.
I would be so ecstatic if this happens. Can you imagine if Blooms managed us to the Champo after being the first player to captain us to there?
Also a random scoopy retweet is not a v. BBC local thing to do
New manager confirmed before old manager has officially left?
Mad times.
Blooms is the only acceptable choice really. I’ll believe it when it happens.
He kept them up (well it's their fault if they piss it away from here). Lee Harrison might have a choice to make..

Was just gonna say that about Harrison
Can’t see him moving for that.
He has a job, he won't quit there for a 3 month interview.
Blooms to Wycombe is probably the identical heart string scenario Gareth to Qpr is. Funny how these things work.
Col Utd just need to follow this on by appointing...McDonut
He won't walk away from a decent length deal at Col Utd for a half season trial, so you'd think it'll he a 2.5 year or so?
