Out of interest some of the names such as JJ, Vokes, Mawson being banded around - do any of them even have a boy scout badge in football coaching? Whilst he model of appointing nice guys has worked really well for AFC Richmond it is not always the case.
Does anyone else think that like players their should be a window for hiring and firing a manager? It is ok for a higher up club to sack someone on a whim and steal a lower down club's coaching team but it fcuks the club that loses it management. Losing our star player in a particular period of time at least gives us structure to replace and plan. Losing the heart of your club with 18 games to play is way worse.
I know Scowen’s already been at QPR and is out of contract in the summer…perhaps the Man of the Match award will need to be spread around a bit more widely next season.
What is worrying me is that if the cuts to the playing budget continue then the Couhigs may plump for the cheap option when appointing a new manager and appoint an existing player. That would save them big money at a stroke.
I think we could do a lot worse than asking St Martin to take us through to the end of the season & get involved in selecting the next manager.
He understands the club & its culture, is well respected & can be ably supported by Sam Grace & the senior pros, some of whom might even be encouraged to take their badges...
To an extent this is the sort of siege mentality we need, following GA's departure, to get into the playoffs & beyond.
They hit the jackpot having Ainsworth in situ here.
Rob half jokingly said people tell him getting to the championship is difficult, but you wonder if he's underestimated how hard it actually is, with it only being Gareth's incredible management that got us there and had us knocking on the door the next 2 seasons.
How they go about an appointment will be interesting to say the least.
My concern with all this conjecture is that the club ownership have such little experience of the English game. I hope they are being well advised should a replacement management team prove necessary.
@glasshalffull are you are in the room because the trust and the ice cream bloke can’t be expected to point Rob and Pete in the right direction?

Anyone else get nervous at the end / start of each hour?
It’s unbelievable I’ve got so much fuckin work to do!

I've got hardly anything to do at work but wish I had to distract me from this.
It's done; just put us all out of our misery, please.
Do you mean nervous about who else he'll end up taking?
As it's pretty clear Gareth and Dobbo is a done deal!
Unless Dobbo was sorting his new Wycombe contract out and couldn’t make training

I fear a big exodus 🤦

I wonder whether that siege mentality idea was behind Garath McCleary's 'together we are stronger' instagram post yesterday...
Yep, managing and playing are not remotely the same thing. We could be surprised, but none of those three strike me as coaches.
Think I'd happily go with St Martin til end of the season, see how it goes from there
Brilliant!!
MON and Keith Ryan as assistant. 👍
Haha - no worries. I can't even explain it - pretty irrational!
I'm also not sure who Judy is or why she's so curious
I will even exempt you from my petty pro-Cowley thumbs down exercise!
Bloomfield in talks with WWFC according to BBC South East
Tom Williams, BBC reporter, is suggesting we're in talks with Blooms...
Annoying to hear about Gaz's connection with QPR, when he's been here almost twice as long as he was there
But that’s literally the only reason it’s happening.

I'd love Blooms, though feel for him having just got used to an easy commute!
Blooms-Gormania then??
Will be nice for Colchester to have a new reason to dislike us.
No reception in the toilet he’s currently in. Don’t worry, he’s got this.
* I hope people get that reference and don’t think I’m accusing him of solicitation 😞
This Blooms rumour is really toying with emotions after the Dobbo false dawn.
