Also, Wing's goal was like a planned version of JJ's v Shrewsbury en route to promotion in 2018 (one of I think only two right-footed goals JJ has scored for us).
awful shame. They've shipped 10 goals in the last couple of games, but to be fair they have had Bolton and Sheff Wed back to back. Surely they'll get some respite in their next game...vs...Ipswich. Oh.
Fairly dreadful ref, if you'd told me the proper ref couldn't make it so they got his dad in instead, I wouldn't disbelieve it.
Harsh booking about 20seconds in, then refused to give any bookings, especially for the Man Utd loanee who must have committed 5 or 6 fouls, mostly on Scowen.
Honestly, if you'd said which of the 2 was on Man Utd's books, no-one wouldn't have voted Scowen - immense today
Another superb strike from Wing. He's quietly emerged as our key gamechanger. 6 goals in 8 now!
That was fabulous, just fabulous. This team - Fucking hell! I love the way they play for each other. I love the individual ability they each bring to the team. The way we took control of the game after the opening 20 minutes was a thing of beauty.
Gareth Ainsworth is knocking up gourmet meals with two loaves and five fishes and we are truly blessed to be at the feast.
Very difficult day to be a Wycombe fan. It's bad enough having to watch us every week, but now we've had to watch three wins in the space of eight days! Every wonder strike we score is another death blow to our entertainment.
It's funny how things evolve. Wheeler and Hanlan have had long spells as squaddies rather than starters, but both are absolute undoubted starters now, and it all looks brilliant.
That save at the end from the bicycle kick was a cracking bit of keeping, not only getting to it but clawing it away from the Bolton striker who was lurking.
We have just made another of the form teams with many Championship-class players look very ordinary indeed. Often teams will come to AP and look to play an expansive game, more often than not we are able to stifle them and impose ourselves on the game when it matters.
Cue the usual "they dragged us down to their level" whining from opposition supporters, music to my ears!
Another outstanding performance from a team that really has become greater than the sum of its parts after the hangover from the play-off final defeat. I really hope Blues fans everywhere are drinking this in, what a time to be a Wycombe Wanderers supporters right now!
Were you at the match at Adams Park? No way were Bolton a class above us for long periods of the game. We controlled most of the game and limited them to one or two real chances all game.
A lesson in controlling a game and a fabulous goal.
They absolutely were a class above for the majority of the first half. On another day we could have easily been 2-0 down. We were excellent in the second half though. They barely got going after the interval.
They should have scored a few mins in and then hit the bar not too long after. We gradually imposed ourselves on the game and stifled their game and were the more likely winner at the game went on, making a very good team at this level look distinctly ordinary.
Bolton had the better chances overall, but they were mostly in the first half - they could have been out of sight - and it was generally a controlled performance from us, certainly in the second half.

At home v Bolton: P3 W3. Which other teams have we managed that against in the EFL?

I thought you were a class above us for large periods of the game, just didn’t take your chances.

Another hugely important win, in a run of them.

We’re P1 W1 against Manchester City and Kidderminster Harriers in the League. And I’m sure a couple of others.
Of course we are 100% against Man City in the league as I continually remind the hoards of City supporters living close to me!

Nailed on to be a Derby vs Wycombe playoff final at this rate.
Do you live in Stockport?

Ok, teams we've played more than once!
That save at the end from the bicycle kick was a cracking bit of keeping, not only getting to it but clawing it away from the Bolton striker who was lurking.
Another splendidly entertaining game. I think teams will start doubling up on Wing for any corner soon.

Bolton manager with ungracious interview. Still owns that whinery, I see.
The main threat Bolton had was from those mad long throws and a couple of corners late on.
We did a magnificent job on them, especially considering JJ in the centre and Grimmer going off injured,
yes that’s right

"Gaz is a nice guy, so for that reason his teams often get away with more than they should"
haven't heard that one before - chuckle
What a difference from the Bolton away game when it felt almost like a cup game playing against a team in a different league.

Funny how we see the game at times.
Didn't feel remotely threatened in the first half, albeit not creating that much ourself.
But bar the last 10, with throws, corners and a couple of efforts, we saw it out fairly brilliantly.
They should have scored a few mins in and then hit the bar not too long after. We gradually imposed ourselves on the game and stifled their game and were the more likely winner at the game went on, making a very good team at this level look distinctly ordinary.
Other than perhaps the first 15-20 minutes & the last 10 they did not really threaten us at all
No way. I am with @Malone on this one.
We saw the game out comfortably despite their pressure in the last 20 mins and actually nearly had a second when Josh Scowen went very close.
Derby last week certainly felt a lot more threat.
It's to our credit winning both games, but today if anything was a more comfortable keep at bay job.

Thought the same
