Do we 100% think the game will be on ? Games in league 2 are off already. Its not just the pitch that's taken into account, also health and safety, access etc. Currently forecast to be in the minuses by the time the game starts
There's been no word from the club that postponing the game is even under consideration, I would hope that if it was, they would have at least said something like, "our health and safety team will be reviewing at <insert time here>".
As far as the pitch, GA said in the pre-game preview that the undersoil heating had been on and the squad had been training at AP because the pitch at the training ground was frozen.
Over on the Oxford forum they seem stunned that we have undersoil heating. One wag suggested it's to keep our players warm as they roll about on the ground.
They seem to hate the fireworks. So perhaps they have some purpose after all.
We're usually pretty good at making the surrounding areas safe - the one time being plonked at the end of an industrial estate actually comes in handy!
"Rows A and B at the front of the Frank Adams Stand are wet and beginning to freeze in some areas due to ice melting on the stand roof, so fans in these rows are advised to move further back to alternative available seats."
Sounds safe... Why not just take it out of supporters' hands?
I was already in two minds about going, but this has made my decision for me. We're seeing years of neglect rear its head, but look at those pretty fireworks!
The Family Stand is directly under the Frank Adams roof, which drips and leeks. If there is room to move these fans )mid week = less kids) it’s probably a wise decision.
There is a quote for sorting out the FA roof - it’s seven figures (!)
I go with 2 friends every game, we sit in the front 2 rows of the Frank Adams, so what do we do ? Just go and sit in someone else's seat and get asked to move ? Just keep moving around until someone stops asking us to move out

we mustn’t underestimate them for their modest history, they’ve been a league club for nearly 13 years now.
COYB
The badge has only got 3 sides too.

Tonight is Gmac’s night. He’s due a performance. 2 goals, GMac and Wing.

Time for thermals tonight, gonna be a chilly one!
If you turn it upside down it's a crab with shades on.
/ an owl perched on a giant croissant / reciting the Torah (the Chicago Bulls logo is the same but with an alien)
The badge is like the fans, full of bullshit.
5-0 to the mighty Wycombe.

No messing around tonight. Just show we’re comprehensively the better team for 90 minutes. 3-0.
Or an owl desperately looking for a reassuring hug. I actually turned my iPhone upside down. What a saddo !
Does the same rule apply to badges as flags? Ie only to be flown upside down in times of distress.
It feels like we have barely played lately, yet teams still have games in hand on us. Was there a lower league World Cup I am unaware of?
Cheltenham and Burton games in league one have now been called off
Thank you @drcongo - really brings home how well my comment hit the nail on the head.
Awaits ‘owls of derision.
Upside down it looks like a very broad well-tanned lady wearing a yellow halter top dress.
Family Stand closed tonight https://www.wwfc.com/news/2023/january/24/family-stand-information-/
How long until the ground just collapses entirely?

It’s going to be complete chaos.

Seems a bit silly that you have to close part of the ground because of the conditions, but other parts can stay open

Feels like years ago that RC said he'd sort the toilets out

I suppose a falling leek could cause serious injury
