he 1952 badge is a derivation of the Burslem coat of arms and takes on symbols from other Stoke-on-Trent crests. The scythe comes from the Tunstall arms, the “fretted cross” from Audley while the two pots symbolise Josiah Wedgwood's towns (Burslem and Etruria).16 Jul 2016
Simply love to see Vokes and Hanlan up top together, they complement each other beautifully. I imagine we’ll see Wing playing in his deep quarterback role, with Wheeler tasked at breaking up play and Freeman given more license to go forward.
Exciting line up. I know I’m in the minority, but under the lights on a weekday evening is still one of my favourite ways to experience the sport, turns an otherwise dull Tuesday at work into a day of anticipation.
The whole WanderersTV experience still feels more arduous than it needs to be. Took me a while to get in there as the option to buy a match pass wasn't obviously visible at all.

If we don't make any changes, that surely guarantees that the weekend will be a giggles style chop and change job.
I’d like to see us go with
Max
Jmac Forino Mawson Obita
Gmac Freeman Wing Mehmeti
Hanlan Vokes
Not necessarily in a 442, but we know our front players have been really fluid this season.
Really push for it. But, please make much earlier subs.
Goes without saying — would love Gape, Scowen, Tafa, Thompson (and others) all back. Unlikely though.
Bugger. Just realized your clocks went back and the game is an hour later here than I thought. Oh well, guess I had better do some work!
The only reason we do it is to keep you on your toes
Wheeler and Hanlan in for JJ and GMac. Would like to have seen Kaikai, but still excited!
Stryjek
McCarthy-Forino-Mawson-Obita
Wing-Wheeler-Freeman
Mehmeti-Vokes-Hanlan
Possibly? Or Mehmeti as a 10? 4-3-1-2?
He's made all the right changes. Intrigued to see how this looks on the pitch.
Looks good on paper....
Looks like a 4-3-3 to me but who knows.
Could even be a 442 with Wheeler and Freeman on the wings and Hanlan up front...
I'd like to see a double pivot of Wheeler and Wing with Freeman largely relieved of defensive responsibilities as a 10, but we shall soon find out...
Ellis Harrison the man in form for Vale. Remember when he got sent off after trying to start on Bayo?

Good badge imho. Not some computer abomination like their rivals Stoke
Stoke are indeed an abomination.
I wonder whether he’s going back three still, with McCarthy as a center back.
Wheeler and Obita as wing backs.
wing, Freeman Mehmeti
Hanlan and Vokes up top
That would be pretty kamikaze!

I’m optimistic about tonight having just listened to Gaz’s post match interview from Saturday - “we need to start scoring more than one goal”.
Maybe he’s been reading the Gasroom.
Did the guy doing the handover from 3CR think Keith Ryan's name was actually Keith Rhino?
Looks like 4-3-3
The leaves on the pitch are giving this a proper lower-league feel!
COME ON WYCOMBE!
My assist: I left the room.
Mehmeti!
The sad thing is seeing a couple of our players glance over at the lino as if he might find a reason to disallow it.
Nice and easy when we can just get it to Mehmetis feet, and let him bang it
Thunderbolt
Looked like Stevens made a right meal of that, but reassuring to know luck can still go our way!
