A few thoughts:
Jacobson's contribution to the club is incredible in every way. No news there, but to have scored 43 and assisted 52 as a left back is simply wonderful, penalty taker or not.
Horgan has made more appearances than McLeary, Mehmeti, Obita and Tafazolli. Surely that is not right? He has also had more assists than Mehmeti, which is also incredible.
Congrats to Gape for his imminent 200th appearance, and to Freeman for his pending 150th! While I am at it, Horgs is only two away from 100, so congratulations to him too very soon.

A few figures are probably one or two out, but Transfermarkt is generally fine for the basics.
Would be interesting to know how many games Taffazolli has missed through injury. For someone who promotes his training and his well being regimes, my perception is he misses a lot of games.
He’s a fitness fanatic, for what it’s worth.
Oh, and I hope you won’t be offended if I mention that he is Taf with one ‘“f”.
And as the chippy manager reminded me, there’s no ‘f’ in cod. Haddock it had to be.
Seeing as Taffs has basically always started when healthy (apart from being on the bench when coming back) it has to be fairly close to 45-50 or so games missed, depending on how many cup games he has played/been eligible for.
40/110 in the league (incl. play-offs), so almost the equivalent of a full season
Nice thread @Shev
I wonder if this is something the main man @drcongo could add as a sticky somewhere, and someone update it every so often.
Someone said it the other day that they miss the program stats page, and it brings back memories of 20 odd years ago pouring over the stats the day after the game, and basically doing what Shev has done with this thread.
In before @micra... I think you mean 'poring over' ;)
Nah. I've got them printed, and am pouring luminous material over them so I can read them in the dark.
Obvs.
👍🏻
Cheers @Malone - I'd be happy to keep it updated if needed.
Interestingly, in losing Blooms, Bayo and Stewart in a short space of time we lost the 1st, 3rd and 5th top appearance makers of the league era, as well as the 1st and joint 3rd top scorers and the 2nd and 3rd for assists. Whenever JJ hangs it up that would be at least the joint 3rd top scorer (even if he never scores again), 2nd for appearances and 1st for assists.
To have had that group all playing in the same team for so long was wonderful!
Btw @Shev, this wasn't a go at your maths, which I'm sure is spot on! I just meant I've been burned by Transfermarkt before.
No worries mate - I did not take it that way at all.
Ryan Tafazolli has missed 45% of Wycombe Wanderers league matches since signing in September 2020.
He missed 26 of our 46 Championship matches in 2020/21 (56%)
He missed 13 of our 46 League One matches in 2021/22 (28%)
He has missed 10 of our 16 League One matches so far in 2022/23 (62%)
That is a very high percentage of games missed. Seems amazing for someone who is so focused on health and well being. Not sure a future employer, if he does leave at the end of the season, would be overly impressed.
How does being keenly interested in health and fitness stop you breaking a rib (the current injury), or having the long term injury he got after signing, out of interest?
It doesn't stop that kind of injury, but helps with many others such as muscle strains & common colds/influenza.
It doesn't. But in one of his videos he was out training complaining of an abdominal injury. He returned to the dressing room and said "it's no good". Was that the broken rib all along or something differnt?
We'll probably never know.
But you can't imagine the coaching staff aren't aware of his little channel, or are seeing anything untoward in his training, or we'd either have clamped down on it, or parted ways surely?
Well, quite.
The accusation, of sorts seems to be that he's injured/unavailable a lot for someone so keen on those areas.
My word - look at this goal from Paul Smyth.....
Has scored 7 in 18 for Leyton Orient. One player I always liked that we had on loan was Randell Williams. How is he getting on?

Pretty poor defending not to win the ball back when he literally spends two seconds flat on the floor asking for a penalty
If one of the defenders had just sat on him WWE style, I think it would only have been an indirect free-kick anyway?
Hahaha imagine!! Rikishi comes to mind....
I got laughed at for suggesting Paul Smyth could be a solid squad option. Now we’ve got Horgan and Kai Kai (both likely on higher wages) collecting metaphorical dust and McCleary is well off his best.
One Garreth Ainsworth
Imagine knowing someone who watched WWE...!
Thoroughly embarrassing
Either injured or not making the bench for Hull
Apologies for being so spiky this weekend @ReturnToSenda . Didn't take Saturday's result well. It's me who is embarrassed
