Bill had a great chat with us back in March 2020, where his love for life and Wycombe Wanderers shone throughout. We give it a re- spin this week #Chairboys
Thousand Trees by Stereophonics is one of my all time favourites so I am happy. Not sure they ever bettered that first album but as Sam Vokes said they are still a good live band.
Really enjoyed seeing Kasabian live over the years too.
Great choices with the Roses and Oasis, The Manics and Stereophonics are bearable. I could never understand the popularity of Kasabian, also done arguably Englands worst ever world cup song. I tuned into one of this years festivals, and they were worse than ever.
I loved FYC and The Beat where some of the band originated from. If you get a chance to listen to a wonderful track called Blue, it was written about the cruelty of Thatcher's Tory party. But never more prevalent than what Truss and her right wing lunatics are attempting. In my opinion Roland Gift and Rod Stewart are the two finest male vocalists to have come from these shores.
Great listen, thanks, @bluntphil . I have to say, though, @peterparrotface is going to be disappointed at the work of the Accents Department this week. Missing an open goal there, surely!

I appreciate Sam Vokes picking some absolute bangers to get my Tuesday morning up and running.
Oasis and Stone Roses good
Kasabian not so good
Stereophonics an absolute shocker
"For me"
The ‘Phonics first two records were fantastic, but it went a bit sideways after that.
I'm looking forward to the David Wheeler edition. Max Richter's Universal Declaration of Human Rights piece, maybe?
Sam Vokes rises even higher in my estimation with the Stone Roses.
He loses marks for Oasis and Kasabian, gains a lot for the Stone Roses, and I'll let him off Stereophonics because he's Welsh. No Manics, though?

A thousand trees is a great song !
I've been humming A thousand trees all day. I'm glad i'm not the only one who never 'got' Kasabian.

Some great music snobbery on show. I never got the Stone Roses and love classic Kasabian. Go figure how my untrendy brain works.
Seen Coldplay a few times too and enjoyed it. The horror.
Kudos for admitting enjoying Coldplay!
(I can recommend a therapist if it helps…)
I genuinely can’t name a Kasabian song!

I don’t understand why Martin O’Neil isn’t Prime Minister.
Fine Young Cannibals must rank quite high on your list, @ChasHarps, if your profile picture is anything to go by.
Think we had that conversation a few years ago.
