We all love JJ & he is a Wanderers hero but he is struggling & is sadly our weakest defender this season & I find it hard to believe that it is anything other than sentiment that is getting him in the team ahead of Obita.
We are really missing Scowen in the middle of the park today, meaning their midfield are getting too much space & time on the ball. Wing & McCarthy are not good enough replacements...
Wednesday are slicing us apart at the moment as we seem to be too slow in transition when they have the ball & our shape is awful
This game has actually followed the pattern of many of our games, except for their early goal. We looked really good early, in spite of that early setback, with a Mehmeti magic moment, but the opposition now have a stranglehold on the game and we are getting pinned back.
JJ is struggling, but the number of crosses Grimmer has allowed from his side means we're vulnerable in both full-back positions.
But what really annoys me is that second goal is so similar to the one we conceded at Bolton, essentially from our own free-kick. Making mistakes I can live with, but it's infuriating watching the same ones being made again.
Horgan and Wing is where the problem starts I think. They’re not involved, so Jason and Gape commit further forward than they should, leaving Wednesday’s midfield with plenty of time to pick apart our back four.

I’m a massive fan of his but JJ’s been bloody awful so far.
Sadly our midfield are enjoying the view too.
Just realised Horgan is playing - where has he been so far?
Completely agree. I'd love to understand the logic of him starting today against one of the most mobile / intricate attacking teams in the division.
What position is Horgan playing exactly.
Sort of a nominal right sided mid who wanders into the centre a bit?
Having some kind of midfield in front of the defence might help a bit. We look so disjointed to me.
I must say Wednesday's passing is superb.
I mean it's only right that we have a pop at the midfield.
We started with gk.
Then moaned about cbs.
Then cfs....
I think we need a whole new team
Mehmeti's motto should be "Fine - I'll do it myself."
Man marking of Bannan has not been much in evidence..
We have the squad for a very successful season.
We just haven't actually had everyone fit and in form together yet, and look like what we are, a team who got pre-season massively wrong.
Has Wing ever cleared the first man with a corner? He's f#cking dreadful
McCarthy has been stuck on him most of the game. I think he was just too committed on our free kick.
You’re right. In fact, everything’s spot on and there are only wholly positive sentiments to express.
Our set pieces have generally been off this season, unfortunately.
We can pass the ball on the deck. I know we can. Hoofball just isn’t working. Slight improvement as I type.

The goal was painful.
It was a screaming at JJ, "catch up with Bannan, or he'll have a tap in", from about 40 yards away, and seeing him get nowhere near.
Anyone fancy hazarding a guess at how many times before today we (and Wednesday) had strung together 10+ passes this season...?
Yes. He’s been doing his best to stick to him. It just doesn’t seem to be making much difference except, adversely, to us.
Us, twice.
Weddo - 73.
5 vs 75?
Polite from the co commentator, "not really got Horgan and Wing involved".
Both have been totally ineffectual, but in different ways.
Long way to go though, need a little rethink.
Not sure this McCarthy centre mid stopper plan is working at all.
Bloody hell, you really have been crunching the numbers! One out...
4 v 75

Hey, my 2 v 73 wasn't too far off, and he's just piggy backed off mine 😃
I'm wondering when on earth we got our two 10pass moves in!?
Bannan seems to have had the freedom of the park most of the time.
