It is relatively easy I understand to add players to the list where gaps exist. So if Curtis got fit say at beginning of November he could be added then as long as we haven't already filled the list by signing a non-contract player. My take though is that feels unlikely. Shame.
Not trying to hijack the thread into the other thread but not registering Curtis suggests he won't be back until after Christmas, an absence of 9 months. When Nick Freeman was injured we rightly announced the injury and the support he would get. He then became a great side kick to @bluntphil and he has said how much this all helped his recovery. As Curtis will likely be out for a similar period of time I wonder why the different strategy.
That's what I thought, but assumed I must have missed something. The official squad list that @DevC helpfully linked to @micra shows Nick Freeman as not qualifying as home grown. TJ and Horgan (Let's Get Ready to Grumble) are the rather more believable duo to not meet this criteria.

Excellent deduction. Like an episode of Scooby Doo.
We'll get all this information soon.
I would have kept the information quiet for years if it wasnt for you meddling kids!
We moan about communication, not sure how this met the deadline but is only being announced now.

Ben Foster could be a great signing, good character and could play a Stocko role? Do goalkeepers count towards the squad number limit?
You would hope it is an administrative error as Maksymilian Stryjek’s name appears to be missing from the list.
Goalkeepers don’t need to appear on the main list, but for some reason they are included in the U21s. Very confusing.
It also makes you wonder, would David James not be allowed to come on as an outfield player these days?

That’s a relief… and yes, very confusing.
Thompson is a few years older and we don't know what the injury is (will we ever?).
Also, I think he likes to keep a low profile.
Maybe he doesn't like @bluntphil and doesn't want to sit next to him on a Saturday?
Where did Nick Freeman grow? Because apparently it wasn't at home. What a silly rule.
Everyone likes @bluntphil
Not sure Alan Swann does but that’s a badge of pride for Phil!
I’m being thick again, I think. Puzzled. Probably need to scan back.
Didn't we sign him because he won or came in the top 3 on a Football Talent show?
No, that was Nathan Evans.
That must be a mistake. To qualify as homegrown, you only have to play for an FA-affiliated club for three years before turning 21 - which he did.
Andy Carroll just totalled his £130000 motor...so he might be needing the cash.
Not sure he fits the character test though.
When he inevitably releases a book in future years it'll be interesting to see if he reveals how many of the "injury" absences were actually injuries.
