You can be sure some idiots will believe it ! Could also be re posted and spread around other clubs fanbase's who won't have a clue and will probably believe it. Completely idiotic thing to say. Seriously hope he gets pulled up for it, but knowing twitter he won't.
He had a back injury that needed major surgery. I think Rob C sent an open letter to the surgeon explaining to him how to ensure the operation was a success. Lo and Behold, a few weeks later Gareth was back on the touchline.
Back to the competition, I did not realize all 10 Champo sides have lost so far. It could open up for a lower league team to make a deep run if the draws unfold in the right way.
Do the audiobook. If you buy the paper book you'll end up reading it in Jon Ronson's voice in your head anyway, but him reading it to you is really good.
I seem to recall posting something years ago about McGleish being good for us (possobly on the old site?) which unleashed a barrage of Gasroomery about his disgraceful behaviour. Oops. I was told good and proper.
I honestly assumed I had ‘read’ all of Jon Ronson’s books on Audible. Turns out none. I just read them that way. His podcasts The Butterfly Effect and The Last Days of August are also modern fables.
I recall an entertaining game against Bristol City at Adams Park about 15 years ago which we won. Ian Stonebridge scored an absolute screamer from about 40 yards at the away end. We were in the ‘main’ stand so it must have been an early round of some cup competition but I can’t find any reference to the match on line. I did find a 16 second video clip of the goal but was unable to get a link on here.
Our overall record in all competitions against Bristol City this century shows 7 wins each and only one draw.

General point: isn't whether or not a joke is funny entirely down to how the reader/listener perceives it?
I tell you what, let's have a debate about fact vs opinion...
You're thinking of art.
It also applies to art, but humour is subjective (although I'd worry about the sense of humour of someone who found the Ainsworth tweet funny).
I can't see how someone can moan about rubbish on Twitter by adding it to another forum for additional people to moan about it.
Trolls need oxygen and this post now has got plenty.
In all seriousness I read the Ainsworth announcement and just hope all us OK.
I only know about the appalling things on Twitter because people post on the Gasroom about the appalling things on Twitter.
POTY
Am I remembering correctly that Gareth missed our first couple of points/wins in the championship season?
I'm sure one poster on here was insistent that it was 100% down to Dobbo.
Didn’t he have a lower back issue?
Yeah, slipped a disc and had to have surgery
Was he in Revolution at the time?

I know he left under a bit of a cloud but I always liked Scott McGleish...I trust he was well @bluntphil

Ooh, that's on my list

Cue someone knowing him personally insisting that he didn't.
What happened? I think I missed this??

I'm a huge Jon Ronson fan, Things Fell Apart is also a work of wonders: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0011cpr/episodes/player
Bristol City (h) in the next round.
We've drawn Bristol City at home in the next round
Decent but tough draw.
Beat me to it @floyd ! Exciting tie, gotta watch Wiemann who is looking very dangerous.
They only made 5 changes for tonight’s match with Coventry so put out a fairly strong team. So will certainly be a test.
Although over the years we’ve a good record against them at Adams Park, to the extent that I wonder if they see us as a bit of a bogey team.
Beating them in the Championship and a Sean Devine free kick that went through the wall to give us a win a few years back spring to mind.
