Conference Shield goalscorer from 1991/92
Hi.
Quick question for someone with a good memory - can anyone tell me who scored when Wycombe beat Barnet 1-0 to win the Conference Shield at the start of the 1991/92 season? This isn't a quiz question, I genuinely don't know and can't find the scorer recorded anywhere!
Cheers!

Mark West penalty. The Duke of Kent opened the ground that night, a wet evening.

Fantastic, thanks Steve!
@Steve_Peart Might be my awful memory Steve, but didn't the Duke of Kent officially open the ground against Barnet towards the end of the previous season, when they beat us to move closer to promotion to Division 4?
Seem to remember that night was indeed very wet. Also remember the crowd behind the goal singing 'Dukey Dukey give us a wave!'.
That's how I remember it as well @NewburyWanderer
Did Nicky Evans score for them that night?
Yes @NewburyWanderer, you are right. The Duke of Kent opened the stadium on 29 April 1991, when Barnet won 3-1 in a league game. They were two up after four minutes through Gary Bull, Kenny Lowe made it three after the break, Nicky Evans helping to set that up @eric_plant , and Mickey Nuttell got a consolation near the end. The game was broadcast live by SSB. Barnet finished as champions, two points clear of Col U, 13 points clear of us in fifth place.
Do you know how long it was from us getting into the league to Barry Fry getting them up too? Bull, Shower and a few others and Baz going barmy at Flashman was fun for a while.
Weird, looks like they got their first, not how I remembered it at all but I had only a passing interest in Barnet at the time and had barely heard of the mighty blues.
Barnet were promoted to the FL in 1991 and were relegated back to the Conference in 2001.
