Bucks v Staffordshire
This coming Sunday (June 26th) Bucks County Cricket Club have a very important match at Gerrards Cross CC in the National Counties (formerly Minor Counties) 50 over knock out competition.
The match starts at 11am & is 50 overs per side. This is the last of the mini-league format & Bucks need a win to stand any chance of progressing to the knock-out stage. So if you fancy some local decent-quality cricket on Sunday Gerrards Cross is the place to be.

Very little parking at GXCC Though some in the Dukes roads
GXCC’s postcode is SL9 7JZ. As @wwfcblue says, parking isn’t really an option in the ground so park in Dukes Wood Avenue & walk down. Nice clubhouse at GXCC (shared with the tennis club).
Good weather forecast now for this match on Sunday. If going by train it’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the station.
Bucks won the toss & put Staffs in to bat. At the 25 over halfway point Staffs are 83-4, batting on a pitch with a lively bounce.
After 40 overs Staffs are 147-7. 10 overs to go.
I noticed that the team listed contained players from clubs well away from Bucks. Is there a qualification requirement?
Staffs 187 all out (48.2 overs)
That you know the exact recipe ingredients of the Bucks Bacon Badger.
Bucks 119-3 at halfway (25 overs).
That would limit the choice considerably. I know it but now too late.
Bucks 190-7 from 48.2 overs so Bucks win by 3 wickets. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to go through to the quarter-finals. Bucks & Wales National Counties both finished with 4 points but Bucks had an inferior run-rate. Hence Dorset & Wales National Counties progress to the quarter-finals on July 17th. A very enjoyable day though at Gerrards Cross Cricket Club, who were impeccable hosts.
