There is logic about if you're in 2nd, you have to show you're better than the players currently holding the shirts.
But as we're barely winning a game and are something like 14th in the 2month form table, surely there's a likelihood we should switch it up a bit. Especially further up the pitch.
The Person who had the medical emergency is in Hospital and in stable condition after having emergency treatment.
I was one of the stewards near the away end and I saw the Person getting CPR and immediately knew it was serious. I was told to usher people from the family stand away from Gate 3 to Gate 8. Then I had to use the 1887 Chair Metropolis Flag as a massive barrier which worked pretty well. Thank god the guy seems ok. Fun times in my second year as a Steward and it warms me that the response from Wrexham fans was good as at the end of the day, its a life saved.
Didn’t watch the game - the first one I’ve missed for a very long time.
However, each of the people I’ve spoken to suggested it was a poor advert for Wycombe and League 1 football in general. Limited quality. Lots of long ball. Bus situation was disastrous. A long, expensive day out for families. It does feel as if we are cursed with these sorts of high attendance / family-focused games.
Morley was my favourite player this year (alongside Harvie) and was absolutely gutted when he left. However, and this could be complete BS, but I’m sure I read either here or elsewhere that there were rumours that Morley was outside of the data parameters hence why we only put in a small bid for loan extension. Which also goes to show that a data driven model is going to take some getting used to.
The data should be only one tool as part of a wider conversation but there's really no statistical measure for calmness, leadership, judgement, taking the heat out of dodgy moments, getting us playing with flair and another thousand factors very obvious to game going fans and experienced coaches, as someone put earlier this all makes a bit more sense if the new signings are 18/19 with an eye on the future.
A massive blow but still lots of games to go. I still can't work out how Wrexham managed to nick these one nils but have to accept it's more than luck now.
As an armchair supporter, I would have gone to Evatt with a bank cheque book and said name your price. We’ve simply never been the same team since he left - we lost like, one league game with him on the pitch didn’t we?
If that's the case I for one am glad we did not get him...or would Sam Grace still be caretaker while a bloke who had not managed much for a few months worked his way towards the bench to manage in 6 minute chunks every now and then?
I can't work out how good or bad the new signings are yet and it's a bit unfair to try given how little we've seen...but anyone who thinks Reach should be dropped while Harvie is injured needs help.🙂
Disagree with this. I thought there was a great atmosphere and until the enforced break was quite an intriguing game that could have gone either way. I think you'll find the 8 million people never coming back is down to Norris poor distribution and Mike Dodds not chewing his gum proper.
I appreciate your optimistic take, but for a lot of the game I thought it would be hard for so many to make less noise.
However, back positive, they will be back, for our championship 1st home game next season.
It's just that we're doing it the Oxford way - 2nd for ages, change manager, struggle, slip into play offs as 5th THEN go up gloriously, arguably even better than as 2nd.

There were certainly plenty of comments about whether this was a top or bottom of the table clash.
And there not being much danger of the 4,000 once a season game fans coming back!
