Quick reminder that there’s a dedicated thread for moaning about Sky so that the match day thread isn’t just a load of people moaning about Sky when a lot of us aren’t rewarding their shitty service with cash.
I think games like this show why those dropped points in the last few weeks really hurt. This one you can understand us dropping points as Birmingham have been streets ahead, but the draws in recent weeks are the games that you have to win to go up automatically.
First thought on seeing the replay was that it was a red, he makes contact with his ankle studs up and you can’t do that, regardless of how much play acting there was afterwards. Silly decision to dive in there, especially given the state of the game and also the games we’ve got coming up.
as I said earlier ref set the scene early on let a few birmingham fouls go early on not a red but their crowd like any big side intimidates ref. Regardless too many silly passes at the back , get kone on ffs
Ref is a blue, there Danish lad should of had a yellow for taking Fred out earlier in the game, totally conned by Laird such an embarrassing roll , I swear he rolled down my street
You’d never see Josh ever do that because he’s too smart to know refs at this level are dire. Xavi gave the ref a decision to make away from home. It happens. Hes young. We make mistakes. Really stupid diag from Pattenden causing it. He had 10 yards there. No excuse for wasting ball like that
This is the bigger picture. Everyone knew a loss could happen here, but to lose 2 key players for a few games upcoming is a huge blow.
We hope Harvie is some sort of knee jarring minor thing, but it did not look optimistic in the slightest, and very odd he hobbled off rather than stretchered.
commentator as others have said is poor stated that birmingham had 23 chances against orient and dominated game . Failed to mention the early red card !
Having seen the challenge on replay it’s the most obvious red card ever and anyone saying otherwise is utterly deluded. No intent on playing ball. Studs up. Excessive force. Everything that hits the criteria for red. Daft.

Awful decision from the ref there and I am sure Lairds RADA card is in the post.
Gonna be a long second half.
On the borderline between yellow / red but terrible decision making from Simons.
indeed
Assume we can get that red appealed, otherwise that's a ludicrous 3 match ban, missing Wrexham.
And more importantly back to the conundrum of how to cover the Morley loss.
Hmmm, would have spent the money on Morley. We look disjointed and a team that has had a major influx of players and staff at the wrong time. Shame.
Very reminiscent of Hartridge’s red and equally rescindible .

Really stupid from Simons. Killed the same as contest just as it was getting good.
He had to do something, the guy was away. We were totally caught out in 3 passes.

It was a red come on ! It that was against one of our players we'd be screaming for a red.
Oh dear. Not a red for me...but I can see why it was given and not sure Laird was actually going to do anything had he got the ball anyhow.
Birmingham are running the game As they should given their strength.
Reach has been decent since coming on.
I don't think Norris is dire...but not sure he's a massive upgrade on Franco.
Let's hope for a bit of home complacency, a tactical master class from Dodds and a second half brace for King Kone.

Absolutely mental challenge from Simons, anyone saying that isn't a red has the bluest blue specs on ever.
We've waved the white flag so far today. Very disappointed at half time.
I might be mis-remembering, but was Hartridge not 2 yellows?
Ref is a blue, there Danish lad should of had a yellow for taking Fred out earlier in the game, totally conned by Laird such an embarrassing roll , I swear he rolled down my street
the rolling around was so over the top and the crowd was so loud in cheering for a red it swayed the ref

So that’s likely Harvie and Simons out for the Wrexham game.
It does look like FC Tinpot have turned up....but only 1-0 with all to play for.

The absolute classic big ground decision.
Utterly pathetic from Laird, 4 or 5 rolls, big noise from the rabid crowd, and a yellow becomes a red.
Yep. Red all day long, irrespective of the theatrics from Laird.
Shite all over the pitch. Dodds needs to have a look at himself. Whys our best player on the bench? Fucking pathetic
We are playing the best team in the League...so not sure how we are waving the white flag.
