Can't remember exactly, I have a picture in my mind of him doing it in the Vere Suite. I do remember him saying the players weren't fit, and he made it clear that he was going to make changes. He bigged up his record. Fair enough if you have taken over a failing team, but the team had just finished sixth in their first season in tier 3. Complete opposite to Dodds.
Very positive, a nod to past regimes, respect for the caretaker staff and recognition that it should not need too much change at this stage of the season. It must be quite exciting to think you may oversee a promotion, an FA Cup final and could be coaching in the second tier in your first head coach job.
The only criterion I can think of in choosing between those two almost equally unattractive options is the sound. Doddsy is very much in keeping with football nickname parlance (cf Vokesy and no doubt others) and, whereas Dobbo always sounds fine, Doddo (to me at least) has a very different ring.

Luke O'Nien is a fan of Mike
Luke is a total superstar.

Was Mike D at Sunderland when Josh S was playing there?
No but only just - Scowen signed for Wycombe in June 2021 and then Dodds joined Sunderland in August that year

Doddsy it is?!
Like O’Nien should come back home now.
If both us and Sunderland get promoted this season I can see him coming back to us to stay in the Championship
Wrote that piece before seeing Luke’s ringing endorsement. All very encouraging.
Would he fit our age profile? I'm not sure. I expect that to really come into play with the new strategy.
And what position would he play and in whose place?
Luke has been very versatile since leaving us, regularly playing at CM, RB and most recently CB.
On one hand he's now a centre back operating at play off level in the division above.
But on the other hand we have a superb array of centre backs we'll already struggle to keep satisfied!
