Man of the Match season update 28/46

edited January 30 in Football

I have not done one of these in a while.

Sir Josh of Scowenshire is a great player. He has dominated this award for three years, and it will eventually be named after him. Despite the injury, he has still played 18/28 this season at mostly his usual form, winning 4 MOTM awards.

Cam Humphreys has been insanely good. He has been our creative fulcrum, scored and assisted well, and if anything is our "Freddie Potts" of this season (personally I think even better).

And yet...all of the above is thoroughly academic, because King Kone is absolutely destroying this race. Not only that, but he is just 45 votes away from Sir Josh's all time record of 425 for a season (with 18 games left!), and is well ahead of Josh's record Votes Per Start record of 12.5, with a whopping 18.09! He may also catch Josh's record 9 MOTM awards.

I expect Kone to at least go over 500 votes this season, possibly 600, and he is going to set records that may never be broken.

Finally, a shout out to Sonny Bradley, who in 4 starts already is 11th in total votes with 2 MOTM awards and a 24.25 VPS that is better even than Kone's, though would not qualify for record unless Bradley makes 20 starts.
