Tough decision today. Gone with Humphreys. Low not far off.
It's got to be the king hasn't it
Lots of below par performances today. Don’t normally give it to a substitute but Kone coming on (along with Josh) and scoring helped turn the tide in our favour.
Kone - one of the few positives.
Kone. If he had played from the start we wouldn't have lost, however I understand why Blooms rested him.
Taylor the stand out for me in an overall below par team performance
Kone because of the one moment of quality.
Yup, Kone. I can understand the rotation, and the replacements were good, but it turns out we should have fielded our strongest XI from the start today. Oh well.
Lloyd Jones
Kone. Not much quality on show so he was the only player who really made Charlton think a little.
Sadly missed the game as had lunch with friends - so you can all blame me for the sub par performance & result
Was going to give it to kone for the obvious reasons.... but over the entire game.... I gave it to morely.... midfield king pin
Amazing player
King Kone, how many goals has he scored coming off the bench this season?
Honestly can't think of anyone else who stood out.
I don't personally. He scored 2 goals at Stevenage & is on fire. His omission from the starting line-up must have given the Charlton dressing room a big lift before the start.
One magic moment. Hail the king.
On a separate issue and one on which few, if any, are likely to agree, I thought Gideon Kodua showed a couple of flashes of the pace and control of which he is undoubtedly capable. I was reminded of Anis Mehmeti at the stage of his development when he wanted to beat everyone in sight and took quite a while (a) to appreciate when to release the ball and (b) to accept the need to double back to defend when needed.
Kodua wasn’t on long enough today to need to get involved defensively of course but I’m sure he’ll be fine in that respect as he gains experience.
As I’ve said elsewhere, I’d be happy to see him signed on a permanent basis.
